You didn't even talk about Vecna's imprisonment in the Dominion of Dread. Both Vecna and Kas were banished to the Dominion of Dread and that is in fact where Kas was turned into a vampire by the realm's influence, if I remember correctly. This "Dominion of Dread" is the same one where Barovia and its ruler, Strahd are to be found, though to my knowledge, neither Vecna, nor Kas had ever stepped into Barovia or ever interacted with the vampire lord Strahd, at any time. This strikes me as particularly interesting, especially in Kas' case, seeing as how the Lich and his former general were still waging war and Kas could have used the help of a powerful vampire lord, such as Strahd.

I'm grateful to add another D&D lore channel to my subscriptions. Can't wait to see what's next. Keep up the awesome work!

So I play a wizard character. And I swear this started out as just coincidence, but her backstory and adventures are bizarrely similar to Vecna. Witch/healer mother, born to the untouchable cast in a kingdom of magic (Thay), inciting incedent with a princess (healed a Drow princess held hostage by the Red Wizards), lost a limb (leg in this case), and learned high magic from the serpentine personification of magic itself. Trying to convince my DM to have Vecna as a BBEG for a 20th level game at some point because I recon that would be awesome

Yesss, that'd be awesome! Almost like two different versions of Vecna from two different timelines :D

I love the story telling element to your video. I’m running a campaign and my PCs are just starting to find residue of Vecna’s time in Sigil. This video will be perfect to share with them when they really start digging in to find out more. I just subscribed, if you haven’t already done the Raven Queen I’d love to hear your take on her. She’s a major part of my personal character’s backstory. Also the Prince of Frost.

I was still SUPER new to making videos when I made this, but unironically, I think this is in my top 3 favorites I've done so far

I subscribed, great content. Vecna has always been my favorite D&D Villain, never had the chance to run Vecna lives and it's sequel for my players, might have to one day. Edit: I meant vecna, stupid autocorrect.

I have an idea that during his time in Sigil he planted seeds of himself throughout the multiverse, kinda like what happened to the First World as describe in Fizban’s. That’s how I explain Exandria exsisting in my home game and wonder if it’s an idea that’s crossed anybody else’s minds as a way to explain multiple instances of a character

I was having a think about how his eye and hand were separated from his body. I wonder if in the moment he had to make himself vulnerable and restore himself to life in order to obtain divinity?
@dungeonguide60153 жыл бұрын
As far as I can tell, he was still up for destruction up until the Rites were done casting. And since Kas attacked him in the middle of them, he was still at least somewhat vulnerable! But that's just how I have thought about it, I don't know that there's anything set in stone :)

Small thing but around the 5 minute mark (during his fight with Kas) I think you meant vanquish not "Vanish".
