Fun fact: this is the biggest budget Wes Anderson made a film with. And it’s a timeless classic. Adore every minute of it.

When we were dating, my wife never understood why I loved this movie... but she bought me the LAST pair of the limited edition Zissou Adidas.. I proposed a week later haha, no joke That's right I have a pair of the yellow, blue and white adidas that say Zissou.. now all I need is to meet and get them autographed by Murray..
@teamwipe8045 жыл бұрын
catothewiser neither did I!! She literally showed up at my house 4 days later and said “look at what I found” I was pumped to try and get my brother a pair too and that’s when she hit me with it she said “adidas emailed me and told me that this was the last size 12s they will have, the lines discontinued” So I’ve never worn them, never will. They are still in their white and blue zissou box and still hoping to get B Murray’s autograph some day
@brutalerik874 жыл бұрын
Yes, the shoes were really made. Extremely low quantity. I would know, being an online member of team Zissou. I got a ring and everything. Lol But those shoes??.. they were sold out a mere days after being listed, and that was in 2004-05. With that kind of demand and rarity.. id say she's a keeper for sure. Update: apparently Adidas has since re released them, so there's hope for all of us to run around in a pair!!!

Wes Anderson is a cinematic genius. I absolutely adore every film he has made, but my favorite is and will always be "Bottle Rocket." It was the first one I saw, and I was hooked instantly. All of his other films, such as "A life Aquatic" are masterpieces in their own right. Each has it's own feel, but they definitely have Wes' stamp on them. I loved "The Darjeeling Limited", "The Royal Tenenbaums", and especially "Rushmore." Bill Murray adds so much to his films, regardless of how big or small a part he plays. He is the BEST part of "Rushmore", without a doubt. Thank you Mr. Anderson...please keep them coming. I have yet to see "Hotel Budapest", but I'm sure it is wonderful. The combination of actors that he gets to work in his films are fantastic. Never ceases to amaze me, and he's from Texas!! We are proud of him to say the least.
@righteousrat6 жыл бұрын
Im not too crazy about his stuff lately. Even Moonrise Kingdom, for Wes Anderson whose trademark has been a kind of childlike ambience, seemed unfamiliarly dark for an Anderson movie. Budapest had a few good parts but for the most part didnt stick with me.

@Secretarian7 жыл бұрын
Agreed. Bill Murray is an acquired taste. I saw this movie with a pal, and we had opposite experiences. I got right into Murray's comedic cadence from the outset, and picked up on the David Bowie song references early on. I got into the experience totally. Acting was outstanding in this. My pal was more or less "meh". Wes Anderson and Bill Murray match up well wrt their comedic vision.
