Yup Felix's boss the man who supplied him and took him under his wing was charles "big nate" lewis from the village. People don't know about him. If it wasn't for lewis it wouldn't have been a felix mitchell. He was lowkey and played the background.

I had a BF who went to Castlemont w Felix, and ran together from the time they were around 8 yrs old. He said one night they were inside the Gerber Babyfood bottling plant in East Oakland. They liked throwing the little babyfood jars at each other, becuz they made a popping sound kind of like an explotion when they broke on the pavement floors of the plant. The boys made so much noise, the cops came. My BF said he new Felix wouldnt live to be very old, because as they all hid behind a crate of bottles when the cops asked the kids to give up, Felix screamed at the cops, "You'll have to come in and get us!! We're not coming out alive!!" That, from an 8 yr old...

This is who new jack city was based on. Wesley snipes character Nino brown is based off Felix, but Hollywood felt it was a better decision to film the movie in the east coast cause hip hop at the time was hottest in New York. But make no mistake new jack city was the 69-65 ville deep east Oakland during fee reign.

I remember as a state prisoner being in a recovery unit at the hospital prison wing and seeing this horse drawn funeral procession on World News. As I was healing from a bullet wound to my lower back after being shot in San Quentin State Prison. And vividly remember thinking does crime really pay. This drug-lord is dead and I’m shot up behind the walls. Those were the 1980’s

How you buy houses with straight cash? He must of had legitimate businesses under other peoples names to get those homes bought.
@manman3792Ай бұрын
That is false. You only need “legitimate “ business for mortgages. No different than if you are going to purchase are car via car note, there needs to be proof of income/credit etc. If you are buying the house (getting the deed, not mortgage), then all you need is cash. Just like buying a car with no car note

Miss Sylvia, I am qualified and mature enough to aptly give you a respectful explanation, Madam. I was born into the darkness of Los Angeles street life. My mother was a ruthless drug addict and a misguided young lady that followed pimps and murderers. My father is unknown. I became a thug very early on. If you listen to Tupac’s song: “Mamma’s Just a Little Girl “, it’s a narrative of a concise answer to your question. Juvenile detention was my hamster wheel. The military saved me although I was a gangster through and through. Some people are simply desperate and hurt. Nevertheless, I have compunction. It’s not feasible or pious to gloat or glorify Thug Life. We make choices as adults that aren’t always pragmatic based upon Pain. Respectfully Yours, Mr. Weathers. Piru till Death. Gentleman Jonathan ✊🏿

Funny how they called themselves M.O.B (my other brother), because black men didnt hate black women YET, so saying "m.o.b = money over bitches" didnt even cross their mind.. Now watch all the misogynistic men attack my comment lol.. Its true tho. Even the music back then was mostly love/lust song, but now all the radio rap disrespects women
@frankdees5072 жыл бұрын
Nah. Unless some moneys where yo mouth is, nothing coming from it has any value. Use it to get that money. MOB💰
2 жыл бұрын
Lol.. Say that to the pimp that were constantly exploiting women calling them Joe's in the early 60's to 70's
@manman3792Ай бұрын
1) “ My other brother” 2) “men of business “ 3) “my own boss” 4) “money over bitches” These are all MOB. And if you notice, in all of them, women were not part of the equation. So money over bitches certainly did cross their mind. In order to get money, they had to ground with “my other brother” to get things cracking. Also, women were not toxic feminists back then. So no need for them to be like “money over bitches.” A decade later, you women chose feminism and the white government and started your “im independent “ hype. So therefore, brothers began their version of their independent hype: which was “money over bitches.”
