Deadlock is just the best mix of, like, everything. It feels like a roguelite game, but multiplayer. You start each game weak as shit and can slowly upgrade yourself in so many different areas that drastically change the way you play the game. Every ability is overpowered, making them feel good to use, but you have ways to counter them, making them fun to play against. Infernus hitting you with a bunch of debuffs and damge over time? Debuff Remover. Haze ult melting you before you can get out in time? Metal Skin. Its just so good, man. This game is so fucking good.

YES EXACTLY! The fact that strong enemy heroes can be countered with items and good teamplay is SO refreshing

@LevelUpLifting counterplay exists in other hero shooters, but they usually don't work out very well. in overwatch, comp games devolve into the tank players staying in spawn, constantly swapping heroes that counter the enemy team tank, until one of them gives up and sticks to one character. thanks to items costing souls, having limited item slots, and that you only get half of your souls refunded if you sell an item, it makes counterplay interactive and have a cost for both sides, preventing that kind of stalemate situation from occurring. Additionally, if you're Haze and the enemy team starts using metal skin to counter you, you can use something like refresher to use 2 bullet dances back to back, countering the counter.

@@LevelUpLifting it's still a really fun game. I only got into it around year 5 and I fell in love. The fact that there's no other game like it out there is a real damn shame. Ultimately I stopped playing because I couldn't get my friends into it. Unfortunately a 7 year old game that's 100 GB is a big ask. The idea of a medieval MOBA fighting game is just so incredible. My hope is that a studio like Torn Banner (Chivalry 2 dev) makes a game that can recreate that magic.

I don't mind the parry system but I wish it wasn't such a death sentence. If you get parried you're stunned for so long. Also wish the parry window was shorter, like in dark souls or something

It definitely takes time to learn and I had trouble comprehending wtf was going on in the beginning too I know that this video here isn't the best for teaching ppl how to play but I moreso just wanted to showcase how fun it can be But there are a ton of helpful guides out there and using the game's built-in replay feature to rewatch your games to see how you played is really helpful for improving too

If have you played dota at all, deadlock will feel like dota in some way cuz of Icefrog, a dev from dota who has been working on deadlock from the beginning. Personally Deadlock feels more dota than dota does... so many elements feel like dota, specially with the itemization.. I think it's just icefrog's creative touch. Gotta love Icefrog and all the devs who worked on this game to make it feel so fun.

As a huge fan of Blizzard games, like of course Overwatch, as well as those made by Arkane Studios I say one thing - I hope playing this as soon as I will be able to. Remember about the Seven Strictures, Kev!😉 This owl reminds me one of Tyrande's from Warcraft universe. I don't think OW is not fun now since OW2. You know, actually it's going into right direction.
