Path of Titans is a prehistoric survival MMO game where players take on the role of a dinosaur. In December 2024, the game's developers began experimenting with a permadeath matchmaking option, which is a "hard mode" where de ath is permanent and players must restart their dinosaurs.

@@Pure-Spirit-Unleashed It’s an official server. They added a solo permadeath gamemode test but even though it’s for solo players only, people will join discord calls and group together to team on people.

Yeah those 3 titans packing together should be embarrassed. Playing arguably the strongest apex atm with 3 of them against solos in permadeath is just bottom feeder behavior, then the mix pack at the end...just scummy all the stupid discord groups.

Fun fact the small bird Dino has an ability that increases the thirst and hunger drain of any creature it’s latched onto and because Tiranotitan has a very fast hunger dream they can actually starve them out within an hour that little guy was a very helpful asset against that pack

He could have been helpful… it depends how hungry the titans were. I think i saw it takes about 32 minutes to starve a titan on ramph. But remember that if owl was close enough he would also be effected by the plague effects. I did see it happen for a second there. And his hunger wasn’t exactly full. So who knows.

There's something so funny to me about the incredible sound and visuals of the Spino crushing its way through the undergrowth, but when it hops into the water it's just a little "plip" and no water disturbance at all. By the way the Rhamph was giving you fish to help you heal up faster at <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="1620">27:00</a> ! The buff you get for eating fish depends on the type of fish, but a lot of fish species give you increased healing rate after consuming.

You can never get rid of toxic people apparently. No matter how determined the devs to create a system intended for solo player experience, there will always be people who broke the system.

I mean, I appreciate the devs doing this, but they dont seem nearly as determined as they could be. People are breaking the rules because they arent getting consequences for doing so. The devs made these servers that make it harder to find friends and group, but not nearly impossible. People are still doing it. They will continue doing it until the devs implement a warning system for grouping in these modes. That is entirely on the devs. They could do that. They arent. They probably wont. Not determined enough tbh

personally i figure a good way to count this is like with the Hc make a kind of debuff for people hanging around others for to long where everyone gets lower hp/attack/defence though the timeframe would probs be the hard part for this....

If you do ever play again, a couple of quick tips. Fish actually give you passive buffs for eating them. Specifically medium sized fish and large fish. Medium fish grant +10% stamina recovery for 2 minutes. The large fish grant +10% health recovery, very important for spinos. Also you don’t need to eat the whole fish for the buff, eating part of it until buff appears is good enough. Also in the replay function you can actually set it up to see name tags and health status of all Dino’s near you. Pretty cool stuff, it’s fun going back through replay to see random Dino’s near you that you never knew were there. I wish you luck on your next path adventure. Also knowing all kos locations would be beneficial for solo gameplay.

Just a small tip if you decide to play more semi/aquatics, near Rainbow Hills and Ocean Pillars in the northeastern part of the map, there’s two circles of rocks called The Teeth. The smaller one always spawns manta rays for you to catch if you’re starving and can’t find fish anywhere or can’t survive off of trout and arowana anymore. Glad to see you enjoying PoT again though, I’m looking forward to more content with your great storytelling! :)

OH MY GOD SPINOSAOURUS VIDEO!!!! I CAN FINALLY DIE IN PEACE!!!!!! After video edit: The first fight against the duck went very well and it was very close. The sight of the small pteradon flying over to you with such bug fish, compared to it, was hilarious and made me smile, and the fact that this was your first time back to POT in years made it much more amazing. With the swimming animations were better though as the spino seems to swim too much like a rex rather than how it should as a semi-aquatic but the model was extremely good so it balances out. Can't wait for the next video!

This one quickly became my new favorite on your channel the more I watched it. Perhaps I'm reading too far into it, but I feel like there's an underlying significance of that little flying dude attacking the tyranno and bringing you fish after you spared him. It may just be a video game about dinosaurs, but that exchange said more about humanity than some might realize. The external shots were very well done too. You really brought the cinematic effect to the next level with this one, OwL. Well done!

Sucks that it ended with mixpackers, but PoTs unfortunately almost uniquely geared towards encouraging mixpacking unfortunately (a few animals have ability's that requires them to be in a mixpack). Good on you for experimenting with permadeath, had fun with this one despite PoT definitely not being one of my favorites lol.

Beautifully made, Owl! I’m so happy that you’ve decided to revisit PoT again. The grouping up on solos is still as prevalent as ever, even in “solo” match-matching and people seem to take this game as Dino Mortal Kombat rather than a survival game, but I do certainly hope that you enjoyed your time with NoOneSpecial the spino. You definitely handled that last mixpack fight with grace and tact (and even nearly took the sarco down with you lol) I hope to see more PoT videos in the future if you ever get inspired again ❤

Long time fan just nabbing your attention here while I can. You should check out Outward. A survival RPG that rewards preparation with crafting and such. Dark souls like combat. Immersive open world where you pick your path. You would SLAY the narrative play through. Don’t spoil to much by looking to much just trust. Consider it on me if you decide to try.

this server was officials permadeath test mode, you only get one dino on permadeath at a time. it was 3 different people, the dasp stayed back to heal and the duck was likely otw with the sarco, but sarco lagged behind

They seem to be the main problem with any survival game, but this is the worst in the path of titans, as mixpackers always have multiple characters near the battle to quickly switch between them and gain an advantage. Good video as always, although it sucks to see mix packers on a solo server like this, it's such a gross practice. You did hold up well though even after getting out numbered, but you could've been able to kill them if you had managed your stam, hp, and location better. As someone who's played Spoon a fair bit and many other semi-aquatics, the main thing that stood out to me was how much more aggressively you played with it. Now there's nothing wrong with using a playable in many different ways (i do so myself), but Spoon is intended for a lack of better words to be an HP sponge. It's a highly defensive large carnivore, and it's kit leans into this, which is why it's speed (esp on land) is atrocious. Alongside many other large playables it also has awful stam regen (esp on land), even more so than other apex carni's, which is why it's beyond crucial to manage it's stam and never blow through it. And incase you plan to play Spoon in the future be aware of it's clunky turning, a Spoon is most vulnerable in an open space, you always want to have something available to push your butt end into, whether that be against water, a cliff, tree's, etc. (Oh and side note, if you struggle to press certain key's for ability's you can always re-assign them to side mouse buttons, number keys, etc, I personally have almost all my controls the same as the isle with ability's being concentrated mainly on my mouse which I find is better for PvP.) Regardless it was a great video, and I can't wait for more to come in the future. :>
