The Life of Adam and Eve, (also known in its Greek version as the Apocalypse of Moses), is a significant Jewish apocryphal writing that tells in colourful detail the fate of Adam and Eve after their expulsion from the Garden of Eden. It provides more detail about the Fall of Man, in which Satan explains that he rebelled when God commanded him to bow down to Adam. Along with its teaching about penitence and atonement for sin, it expresses a clear belief in the resurrection of the dead to a future life. It also recounts the words of Adam and Eve to their children, as they face their approaching deaths.
The Life of Adam and Eve was translated by R.H. Charles and published in 1913 as part of “The Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha of the Old Testament".
This Book of Adam and Eve is read by Christopher Glyn, widely appreciated for his inspired reading of the King James Bible and a number of important apocryphal books.

So Christopher, I'm curious about your opinion. If "scripture" consists of the 66 books of what we call the "Bible", than this and the other books you include here are not scripture.... BUT i simply cannot even begin to comprehend how they CANNOT be inspired. The book of Enoch is QUOTED in the new testament. The Book of Jasher is mentioned TWICE in the old Testament. Obviously those who were "Inspired" to give us the 66 books believed these books WERE inspired of God, right??? It makes me wonder if God has "Hidden" these books that have been left out of the "Bible" for those of us who seek Him wholeheartedly to one day find.. just a thought. As an aside, you have been a tremendous blessing to me in posting these here. I listen to all of them over and over and over again as well as to the "Bible". These are like the missing pieces of the "Puzzle". Thank you again.

Really love your voice perfect audiobook voice to listen just finished the book of Adam and eve in 2 days. Many others I already have listened as I am not a reader but wanted to learn bible and book of Enoch so I use your audio versions but I do own all bibles and books of these as well. No, the only time that happened was at the Reformation when Luther removed relegated 7 books, reducing his canon to 66. But only Protestants follow this.

If anybody really wants to understand and learn about what truly happens with Adam and Eve after they were removed from the Garden of Eden, read or listen to the audiobook of the 'Books of Adam and Eve' AKA 'The conflict with satan'. This book of 'The life of Adam and Eve' is very much watered down, summarised and leaves out very important details. There is also a number of misleading things written. I don't advice that you recommend it to others. God bless.

What scrolls or texts did you get that from? I highly recommend you not jump to conclusions based off English translations or renaming. Look into what happens to people that do such things and are proven wrong. For misleading people is one of the greatest crimes. Stay away from Benny Carson and Jordan Maxwell, they are false prophets.

In your other book of Adam and Eve, I am confused when he got pregnant the first time with Cain you said he had a sister, but in this novel, there’s no mention of it, or the mention of Abel, when he was born he had a sister

Yes the book of enoch, jasher, maccabes... The revelation of peter the revelation of paul... The book of thomas were all part of the bible and were removed by certain parties for their own reasons.. Jasher, enoch are quoted in the bible which with common sense means the disiples read and studied them when read together collectivlly alot makes sense enoch reveals the most... Old testerment says cain argued with abel and killed him jasher tells you that abels sheep walked across his field after he had tilled it which was the reason for the arguement.... Read them all and you will actually make sense of alot more of the bible as a whole... Choose not to and continue to live in the dark.... A half christian who thinks he knows it all

I notice your post is from a year ago, I hope you have found the answer. It can be found in the "Gospel of Nicodemus". Towards the end of the book Pilate asks the High priest to prove Messiahship of Jesus. The explanation of the 5500 years is there.

In the Book of Enoch he prophesies that Messiah will come in 70 generations. Jude says that Enoch was 7 generations from Adam. Luke 3 explains this. Start at Jesus and count back to Enoch it's 70, if you go to Adam it is 77. Math proves Enoch is scripture.

@@BoskiM I feel it’s important to point this out, especially when dealing with Jewish fables that can be confusing for some. It can be hard to tell fact from fiction, especially when dealing with Biblical characters. (Eg. See Nancy’s comment above.)

@@nancyperez9728 there is truth in what you’re saying Nancy, however great caution, research and discernment needs to be exercised in deciding on what is inspired truth and what is not. Book by book. You will find when researching this particular writing that it is NOT inspired / Scripture. It is for this very reason that I am extremely cautious about what I will read / listen to. Because, as with the effects of television, it can be very difficult for our brains to discern what is factual & truth, and what is not. Please be prayerful, careful, and do your research on each individual writing. Always remembering that the Bible IS God’s Word and IS the final authority on everything.
