A dog gets attached to its owner so much and they cant let go, it’s so sad 😞

I read Hachiko's story in mid 80's one afternoon while taking my coffee break in our office. Years passed by, I changed jobs one after another until I became an Instructor and later, a Missionary. At one time I narrated Hachiko's story whenever the subject is about "faithfulness". Life was so busy for me and I noticed I am aging. I visited Hongkong and Macao to console myself. Then, followed by Japan. It was near the Shibuya station where I met the statue of Hachiko. It was unplanned. I went to Shibuya to witnessed the Shibuya Crossing, the world's busiest crossing. But I was intrigued by the commotion and long queue nearby. And found out it was the statue of the most loyal dog Hachiko I've known long time ago. I joined the long queue. I requested someone to take photos of me and Hachiko. I felt a strange vibrations upon touching Hachiko's statue. In my hostel that night, I saw my picture with Hachiko. Tears fell down from my eyes. It was one very emotional experience I will never forget in my life as long as I live ...

I cry every rime i hear of this story but it's even sadder knowing that people weren't kind to Hachiko until that boy wrote the newspaper article. For 7 years Hachiko was alone in that train station without receiving kindness...if someone would have taken him to the vet they would have treated his cancer, he died a painful death. Rest in peace dear angel ❤

From what I heard, Hachiko wouId not go with anyone voIuntariIy. He wanted to stay to his own schedule and coming and going. PeopIe at the train station gave him food and water.

He wouldn’t have survived that long without the kindness of strangers, also I don’t think to myself “hey i should take this random stray to the vet just incase”

Very loyal dog and sad but it's more upsetting to find out that he didn't even get peace after his death as his body was stuffed and kept in the museum

Not everything needs to display in museum for people to enjoy and make a symbol of history .it was cruel to stuffed him like this😢i remember when i was a little and watched the movie i cried alot.the amount of loyalty and love animal can give us is not near to what we give them in return.the patience, loyalty hachi gave till his last breath but ppl not even allow his body to rest along his owner where he can end his 10 yrs worth of waiting 😢

If you treat a dog well, he would be forever yours, at a times your parents might ditch you, but your dog will never. But here the sad truth he is being stuffed into museum insted buried near his owner.

Why didn’t they burry him? That was a horrible way to treat Hachi 😢. I am sorry, Hachi. You will be forever in my heart ❤️.

It is more important to be concerned about what is being done to them when they are aIive. Hachi is done with his body. It's expIoitive, but not causing pain.

Hello! Can you tell us more about Hachiko's life in Professor Ueno's house? Describe his life there, his relationship with the owner? How did Ueno treat him? How much did you love your dog? Did Ueno have a family, children? And what is shown in the Japanese film, when the professor took a bath with Hachiko, caught fleas from him for hours, and Hachi fell asleep in his arms is it true?

Young Children should be made to fully understand the consequences and liabilities of adopting a dog. It should never be taken lightly as the dog is a serious 12-15 and more year commitment for which the dog usually gives far more than the owner.
