Kai is an orphan who became an airbender after the Harmonic Convergence of 171 AG. He was a mischievous thief who was eventually caught by the Dai Li in Ba Sing Se for using airbending, but was later liberated from their control and went with Tenzin and the other new airbenders to train his skills and learn Air Nomad culture at the Northern Air Temple. As part of the Air Nation, he became a more honorable person, living to serve others by bringing peace and balance wherever possible. Sometime after 171 AG, he also entered into a romantic relationship with Jinora.

they really should've tied him more to mako and bolin, their lives were pretty similar and they could've had a ton of character development together instead of shuffling mako and bolin around with no real idea on what to do with the two. Having them tied together wanting to like set a good example or something, it'll make makos and bolin motivations much more interesting. Mako being a good police and guard for Wu to show him that there is a life for them after what they've done, Bolin who can show that they can have order and structure when he wanted to join Kuriva, instead of joining just because of his love interest.

Probably stronger. Jinorra is very spiritual and Kai ended up getting his air bending through Harmonic Convergence (which was an extreme *spiritual* event). Through this, a child would most definitely be extremely connected to the spirit world and would most likely exceed at things like spiritual projection. Also, Jinorra was an air bending prodigy which means the child will also have strong air bender genes. Not to mention they will be the great grandchild of the avatar, the most spiritual person to exist who was also an airbender. Kai has also proven himself to be a strong airbender, so yeah their child would be pretty OP.

Kai was so underrated same with the Kainora ship, they should of had in ep 12 season 4 kai pick up Jinora when Tenzin moved her out of the way, it would of made the ep better and Kai is like: ''Are you okay Jinora?!'' it would of been a cute thing and at Verrick and Zhu Li's wedding they could of been dancing or kissing, it would of been a great way to keep the whole Kainora vibe together. Does nobody realize that he’s not actually explaining and analyzing the life of kai? All he’s doing is giving a detailed summary of every action he’s taken during the show. The only part where that’s necessary is at the end of the video during the colic book section. You get the same amount of information from watching this video as you would from watching the show. Kai as an Earth bender would have been legit TBH. Him as an air bender was a bit too bland but his character arc would have fitted well in Season 4. Now I want to see Ghazan and Kai co-op.
