Opal is one of my favorite supporting characters in LoK after Jinora. Her relationship with Bolin is great and wholesome, and like a normal couple, they even have (political) disagreements, familial hangups, and personality flaws that make them feel more like real people. Seeing them fight and then work through their problems is a nice human touch and makes them more relatable to me than Kai and Jinora, for example, as I've had disagreements with my own wife (what couple doesn't have fights?). That being said, I hope Opal earns her airbending tattoos. She's accomplished a lot in her young life and the short time she's been with the new Air Nomads, and deserves them sooner rather than later, I think.

In every instance we've seen Opal and kuivira together not once do they act like family, and from what the comics have shown, they grown up together. All I've ever seen them do is argue and always seem to be passive-aggressive towards one another or the very least opal is. I know family can get on each other's nerves. But they never seem to be civil towards one another but this is mainly my opinion. I want to know others thoughts on this.

what if there was a combined bending technic of liquid metal and lava bending, think about it. there is death inside the metal and you made the lava out of the earth, make lava inside the metal and then it would be liquid metal bending, it would be like a really hot shotgun time instead of a single one shot area attack.

liquid metalbending already exits, just use liquid metal. that or you can liquefy it the same way waterbenders solidify water (when people are attacked with ice from waterbenders, they do not react to the temperature, as if there is no temperature change and i believe i saw some canon comic where Kyoshi was trapped by some earthbender trapping her in the earth under her by liquefying then solidifying it)
