Not sure if I agree with that sentiment. Quidditch doesn't really make much sense if you dissect it. I don't have trust that you can make a series about it that doesn't introduce some stupid and unambitious themes. The Hogwarts founders series would've been much more interesting for me. I would like to find out if Salazar Slytherin's stance on muggle-born was rational or just baseless prejudice and if the wizards 1000 years later really had a true picture of who he was. It could also give us insights on early days of pure blood supremacy and how it developed. I would also like to find out that Gryffindor was sort of a grey character and maybe he had a hidden agenda with allowing muggle borns to Hogwarts, not just because of being of pure heart. His conflict with goblins over the sword of Gryffindor would be another interesting theme. Then you have Rowena Ravenclaw and her daughter and the Bloody Baron. Lots of potential for a really good story, if done right, not just entertainment but a meaningful story.

After hearing that Oliver made Quidditch Captain in his 4th year but Harry was passed over for Angelina the discussion between McGonagall and Dumbledore went something like. “I think Potter should be Captain of the team.” ‘Albus not only has Potter nearly died every year during a match, he always misses at least a game because of it. It wouldn’t do to lose our seeker and Captain all at once.”

such a great character that deserves the credit given to him. his character was shaped during the battle of Hogwarts. he carried the fallen great witches and wizards during this tremendous attack. he wasn't known for being a strict quidditch jock anymore. during this battle that meant all or nothing, that shaped what you fought for, he focused on bravery instead of victory. I will remember this character from the bottom of my heart. he was greatly written and greatly shaped

What I don't get is...there's a line in Sorcerer's Stone. Lee Jordan is describing the first Quidditch match, and mentions that Katie Bell was a great find of Wood's, as she "was just a reserve last year". So...do the school teams have reserve players, or not? Malfoy's arm shouldn't have mattered a hill of beans.

What an excellent young man he was. I respect him, and anyone else who came back to fight the DE, who were probably at least some of them, more experienced, more talented, and more powerful than the good young man and women who came back. If I got the chance to study magic, I wouldn't waste my time on this foolish game. I would instead invest my time, in learning and sharpening abilities, I find studying more important than playing a game.
