When we got the call, we made it down to this home as fast as we could to help out.
[HISTORY] The customer’s experience with the PREVIOUS contractor (old fencing you see in the video that we rip out)? With her children around, this customer was excited to put in a pool fence but from the beginning they had an issue with this fence that the previous contractor installed. The fence was “improperly installed” ….and it was not a Life Saver pool fence. “We had to get the previous contractor back here a few times and he was very difficult to get in touch with.”
After many attempts, the fencing still failed to meet the customer’s safety needs, so she reached out to us.
Life Saver New York stripped out the old fencing that had a short plastic sleeve…we removed all of the broken poles that had deteriorated and lost their color (they had started out as black). We did our best not to breathe in the fiberglass fibers!
Go to 3:22 in this video and look at the degradation of the fiberglass poles! You can see the little shards going into my hands despite protective gloves.
Now, go to 4:03 and watch as the old poles are easily smashed to oblivion---and then, the Life Saver pole takes a large hit with a hammer with almost no effect.
So, we put in a Life Saver sleeve (much longer and sturdier). And we installed all new mesh fencing.
