Great video! We recently purchased in Granite Bay and excited for the move. Are there any free access points to the lake where we can park and access trails/beach? We drove straight down Douglas and it looked like it ended with a paid entrance. Thanks!

Worth it just to buy the Golden Poppy annual pass for CA state parks! There are multiple entrances, but typically through a neighborhood/ side street.

I grew up near Douglas and Auburn Folsom and would hike around the lake a ton. When school isn't in session, you can park at Cavitt Jr. High (or the shopping center across the street near the post office) and walk through the property to access the trails leading to the lake. It drops you in behind the equestrian boarding location near Auburn Folsom and Eureka. There are trails that you can hike/bike that will get you all over around the lake. This is probably the easiest free access point on the GB side of the lake
