My husband and I always wanted to see Van Morrison (our favorite musician) in his home country. One night we had too much wine (we live in Michigan, USA) and saw that Van was playing at the Slieve Donard Hotel in Newcastle, Ireland so we drunkenly bought tickets. The next morning we realized that we needed to plan a trip to use our tickets. 😂 So on 20 July 2015 we sat at Table 16 and enjoyed the best show we’ve ever seen! LOVE Mr. Morrison.

I really dig Van Morrison; however, need to point out an error in the "Early Lifer" segment of this video. The man shown at 1:13 - 1:17 in video and described as described as Van's father, George Morrison, "a shipyard worker", at the 1:13 - 1:19 in the video, is actually George Morrison, the Native American abstract artist from the Ojibwe tribe in Minnesota. Can't believe the producer(s) didn't catch that.

Van is the Man and his well known commercial hits are minor league compared to so much of his great music that one can discover on any of his albums and I have about 50 different ones. It is a rare talent that can just keep putting out great music year and year. No halfway intelligent real human would pronounce Leadbelly as “Leedbelly” instead of “Ledbelly. ”..and the house he lives in is valued at “ 4 thousand twenty-seven million dollars “ ? WHAT? Should have spent a little extra money and gotten a real person to narrate instead of a computer generated voice “ reading” written text.
