Bumped into him in a hotel bar in Belfast in the early hours of the morning . He sat quietly in the corner . The barman warned us not to approach him and appreciate he likes his privacy. We were the only ones in the bar and sat drinking for a while eventually he acknowledged us with a head nod as he went to his room.

Except for a brief break in the 70’s, Van has been releasing music consistently for almost 50 years. He’s released music at a phenomenal rate in the past 15 years. Eclipsing his peers many times over. A formidable, individualist.

Mr. Morrison had a song called In the Back Room while with Them and it is The Ultimo Bump and Grind ditty . I remember Him buying his folks a record store in FairfaX kin the 70s. I have always respected that and lastly the only performance that I ever attended was in the early 70s at a recording studio in San Francisco during The Moondance era. The way Janet Planet looked at/watched Him was truly wonderful, I remember it as being True Love. Too Long in Exile is a Very Good record and Moondance is The Best. I really dig Van Morrison; however, need to point out an error in the "Early Lifer" segment of this video. The man shown at 1:13 - 1:17 in video and described as described as Van's father, George Morrison, "a shipyard worker", at the 1:13 - 1:19 in the video, is actually George Morrison, the Native American abstract artist from the Ojibwe tribe in Minnesota. Can't believe the producer(s) didn't catch that.

With all the time spent on this doing a fairly decent overview of Van, why go so amateurish and cheesy on the narration.? This must be an AI- generated voice. No halfway intelligent real human would pronounce Leadbelly as “Leedbelly” instead of “Ledbelly. ”..and the house he lives in is valued at “ 4 thousand twenty-seven million dollars “ ? WHAT? Should have spent a little extra money and gotten a real person to narrate instead of a computer generated voice “ reading” written text.

And as a pro he didn't respect the audience who go there to ear some of the old and know songs.. Not the times of The Last Waltz...
