They really look like a bidirectional PCCs overwhelmed with some kinda metal-plastic panels in from and on the roof connected with modern low floor part. The Philly modernized PCCs with "hydrocephalus" were my first association seeing those in the movie :)

This is the kind of Community Rail that more US cities and urban areas could come up with. Looks like a comprehensive system and an airport link to DFW. Love the fact it's integrated with the buses like German (S) and U-Bahn pity that there's a need for extra fares for other commuter rail. Surely a German zonal system would have been better.
@cadenadam63582 жыл бұрын
You can actually buy local tickets or a regional pass which is like a dollar more and works across DART, Trinity Metro and DCTA
@csmlyly57362 жыл бұрын
All DART passes work for all commute types and some of its regional partners too. There is a zone change when you cross the airport to the other side of the Metroplex.

This needs to be revisited in 2023 and 2024. Dart has added the Golink system and in 2024 will have the Silver line. Dart's early failures were trying to get commuters off the expressway, which didn't happen. Dart should have focused on already dense neighborhoods. But density has now come to DART's many rail stations hopefully as time passes ridership will grow.
@orthrus44907 ай бұрын
@@thebootielovera big problem dart had early on was that it was cash strapped and couldn't use much debt to finance construction, forcing it to reuse abandoned cargo lines.

@dane13172 жыл бұрын
@@MrDariolett Public transit systems often benefit those at the bottom of our society, as well as city centers which tend to be poorer and contain larger immigrant populations, as such Conservative politicians tend to be in favor of appealing to people in suburbia who are often against public transit projects.
