Gaffer I found one after I bought mine, made of black plastic! I cleaned mine with alcohol and sprayed it black. I carry mine on a black safety pin inside my vest(no pocket) that's why I do a cough. I also have an old school version, with a matchbox with rubber bands are inside a ball of yarn. Which is a mind blower. For the reveal the ball of yarn is placed inside a clear glass bowl a spectacular holds the bowl for all to see and another pulls the end of the yarn to find the matchbox that rattles. When opened, the coin is revealed! Pain in the ass to set up, but worth it.

Such a sneaky idea that packs a punch and the trick is so inexpensive. Been around for a long long time and still powerful. It originally started out using a cardboard banded matchbox type gimmick. This plastic version is a nice improvement as it never wears out! lol.

Bought one from Aliexpress. Funnel deformed so coin would not slide through. Fixed by packing 2 coins in funnel and gently heating with a hair drier.then allow to cool with coins in place. Good trick.

I've used this as part of my EDC forever. I'll say this though, I put a small round price sticker on the coin, ( borrowed coin)and have them remember the date. I have them sign the sticker. Why??..because twice the permanent marker rubbed off and that just tanked the trick. Using the sticker hasn't ever called anything into question and it's just an insurance policy . Absolutely necessary, no it isn't..but if you don't use one remember to give plenty of time for that marker to dry.
