Great speech. But for those scrolling the comments, this video is about sobriety from alcohol. It has nothing to do with nootropics and/or other smart drugs.

That pill is JESUS CHRIST and I - for me. Only LORD JESUS with GOD gave you talent, great abilities, opportunities, time to develop, be very happy etc. Nothing in this world can help us be the great version of ourselves. I mean some tools do to some degree, but connection to LORD and our effort can get you there. I seen fame throwing people up like a wave and they fall and sink dead, I seen when a lot of money throw you up and they fall and sink dead again, same with anything else in a world. Without JESUS is like walking with a wounded hole in your soul, a piece that is missing to. You becoming miserable and dying each day quick because of that wound. That missing piece is JESUS. Ask any succesful smart human, he or she will tell you that happiness is number for a human, everything else is just secondary helpful tool. Seek GOD first.

This is a ridiculous presentation. There are literally billions of people in the world who already don't drink. Stopped watching at 7:20. I've found that the relevance and applicability of these presentations are very limited.

@markbuchananEXP 4 жыл бұрын
If something isn't relevant then it'll have no bearing on your life and you're right to skip it. However, there are far more people that do drink than don't and Andy shows some of the benefits of not drinking and how life changing it can be.

Just because something doesn't have universal application doesn't mean it isn't a force for good. There are also billions who do drink. Imagine if you were watching a video on how to be a more positive person and someone shitted all over it. 'there are billions of people who aren't overtly negative...this is hugely limited in it's application blah blah blah'

@@markbuchananEXP Great, but then the video should be named something along the lines of "The benifits of quitting alcohol" then. However useful this may be to some people, it's still clickbait and is incredibly annoying for anyone who only wanted to find out more about those "smart drugs" that are about now.

Hi Andy. Amazing. Dis the whole OYNB, after a year i moderated but found only complete abstinence made me happy and motivated. Now on your other course I have stopped again and my mantra is you only give something up once - which to me makes sense because if you've given up you don't start again! And currently I am surrounded by the best wines and spirits money can be with "help yourself to anything" still ringing in my ears as I house sit for a month. But I know everything in this video is true and beyond, there are not enough superlatives for AF life. I'm on the wagon for life, my mindset has reverted aand jumped back on the happy life train. Thank you.

I’ll be honest , this video is ridiculously to say the least . What about people who already don’t drink alcohol and already live a healthy lifestyle, change the name .. refraining from alcohol is not a limitless pill by any stretch of the imagination , I agree drinking alcohol will create limits. The guys at ted talks didn’t listen to this content before they let him get on the stage.

I think that the true benefit of the 'limitless pill' is quality sleep and that all other benefits flow from that. The phase "I slept like a baby" says it all. Unfortunately, I would suggest that abstinence is not necessarily a good substitute for drinking as it presents a different life rather than (for some) a better one. It's complicated but I can personally account for some random exceptional events in my life which were apparently only made possible by drink culture. Perhaps a different set of exceptional events would have come my way as a sober man but I'll never know. During 2 years of no drink my home life and health improved dramatically but my social and work opportunities declined. Now I do the '2 days per week, 1 week per month and 1 month per year' of no drink. It's a schedule at least and allows me to feel in control and gives me good recovery time.

Great speech and accomplishments in your life! I’ve never drank alcohol, eat really healthy and exercise more that most. I have had the gift of physical health and extended health span and am extremely grateful for sure. I eat peer pressure for breakfast. I choose to do it if I want and not do it I don’t want to. Adrenaline is my only reprieve from the doldrums of life. Going downhill mountain biking, skydiving or anything where death is a higher outcome with speed makes me feel alive. I live for that and my family. Getting much older now by age but not how I feel so pulling back a tad on the risk taking doesn’t help. I could really use a real limitless pills for my situation as I really feel stuck due to perceived / learned and physical mental limitations I guess. I can relate to the first part of your story. Do I need to bing drink for a year then quit to get that experience. I am not that desperate. I have seen so many lives ruined by alcohol it truly is sad. But would try an actual pill if offered out of desperation for sure. Thank you for the inspiration.

Imo more like amphetamines or modafinil. MDMA just makes me happy and loving but doesn't do too much else. Amphetamines like vyvanse or adderall on the other hand give confidence and focus. I don't have experience with modafinil but I've heard it's in a similar category to amphetamines.

Not meaning any disrespect to the guy speaking here but this clickbait really annoys me. I was trying to research these "smart drugs" I've heard good things about. I'm open to opinions going against them, the whole reason I'm researching them is to hear the pros and cons, but it's annoying to be drawn in to the video simply because he wants to offer an alternative to smart drugs for those that are thinking of going down that route. I don't drink anyway and I still have a lack of concentration so this is just a waste of time.
