After my fork mounted cages broke off, I am officially on the front-rack train. The bottle bosses make so much sense!

After using a handle bar bag system and then moving to a different bike with Surly Corner bars, I’ve been searching for a front rack that’s simple and matches the classic/modern look of my cromoly bike. This looks perfect!

I settled on the pannier version of this rack for the back of my bike (though I am buying gear slowly as my budget permits, so have not ordered it yet). Their products look great.

Definitely looks like it is worth a try on some trails and commutes.

I already run one on the rear of my Kona Sutra and love it. I have cargo cages on it and I just slap basically any thing I can think of on there. I legit have considered just picking up another to use as a front rack. I don't always like the idea of a handlebar bag holding serious weight or bulk, sure it can be lighter but it rarely feels as stable or as versatile.

Hey Murph, I’ll be installing the rack on a State All Road bike. My next bike-backing trip is the Chauga River Ramble in northwest South Carolina.

Be a great addition to my Surly straggler. It would hold up on gravel roads here in Michigan!

Hi Murph! Loved your TD/GDMBR Series! Because of its versatility I’d use the Tumbleweed rack on two of my vintage bikes (‘Specialized Expedition road touring, ‘85.5 Miyata Ridge Runner SE trekking bike), regionally here in southern Arizona.

I would love to have a front rack for my hard tail bike, might put my bear vault on it. I am a healthy retired nurse and Granny who recently retired in the PNW from the mid-Atlantic area. Having been a competitive cyclist most of my life (road and mtn), I have been outdoors everyday exploring the Olympics on my old Novara Ponderosa hardtail bike with my border collie. This July I plan to mtn bike a portion of the Great Divide Trail from Jasper to White Fish taking train from Seattle with my bike. I also plan to bike pack all around the PNW and British Columbia. I don't know how to tag another person but will definitely show others this rack. Thank you for your commentary, you are a pro.

Nice! I've been looking for reviews of this rack recently, and this vid popped up at just the right time... If I had this rack, I'd use it on my Canyon Grizl to take on my weekend adventures with friends across SoCal

interesting. I had not seen this rack. I am familiar with the oldmanmountain elkhorn which is similar and I use the divide for my panniers. I really like their mounting setup and it seems future proof. I just did the GAP/CnO, but plan to do a couple more trips in the upper midwest this fall including parts of the Northwoods route.

Hey, been watching your videos for a little while now. I’d love a T-rack for my Tumbleweed Stargazer! Also, I’m on Michigan, in the GR area and just took the Tumbleweed on its first overnight. Three weeks ago I did the Two Gorges Gravel overnight in Pisgah National Forest in NC.

what size rack 355 or 380 on your midnight special

I have the 355. That’s a 54cm midnight special with 650b x 2.2 tires. I needed a 380 on my Ritchey that was 29x 2.6
