Your remade creations are amazing and so cute on your daughter and all of you! They look like they would cost a lot to buy. My mother sewed our clothes and even created her own patterns. By the time I was in high school I was sewing my own dresses. My mother started sewing her own clothes when she was nine yrs. old. Her mother caught her sneaking and using her treadle sewing machine to make a doll dress, so she bought some fabric and let her sew for herself@ She loved it!

Chelsea my wife is a crocheter, and had never made a hat. So I encouraged her to make me a skull cap. Before long I had quite a few. Then I saw a Machault hat, and said can you make one? She said that it's a knitted hat not a crocheted hat. We found the pattern and she started knitting. They are 100% wool and beautiful I get complimented on them a lot and tell everyone my wonderful wife makes them for me. God Bless you and your family.

Also, the memories of your hands at work making special items for the individuals of your family will far out last the garments. My Mother was a seamstress and the one of a kind things she tailor made for me with materials and patterns we picked out together...well, I will have all of eternity to convey my heartfelt gratitude. She also taught me to crochet and you are so RIGHT, there is nothing like giving your loved one an item that was created by you in celebration of your love in every stitch. When I was 50, my husband saw a hat he wanted from a history channel program and asked me to make him one. Only there were a few challenges that he did not see as problems. 1. I didn't know how to knit. He wore the crocheted hats, vests, blankets I made for him but his heart was set on this knitted one. 2. There was no pattern available for this ancient hat found in a sunken shipwreck preserved by being covered in tar. 3 years later after many attempts and failures, he had his first Machault made of 100% wool and these two hands. He wears them from early fall to late spring and swears they're why he never catches a cold or flu. Before our first granddaughter was born, I knitted and crocheted every adorable thing I find and could imagine. She's seven now and she still uses her 100% cotton hooded baby towel blanket I made for her. Nothing blesses me like seeing that on the floor after bath time or the baby clothes she wore now on her doll babies or the bigger baby blankets wrapped around her and the family dog as they snuggle down to sleep. You are so right, Chelsea. It fulfills a need in us to see our beloved family and friends displaying the works of art we created for them and clothed in the glory of our labors of love. You are setting the GODLY example for your daughters and they will rise up and call you blessed. Nathan already does. Blesses our hearts to see him beam with pride when he gives you kudos for your accomplishments. You go girl! You Mighty Warrior Woman of Righteousness and Strength of LOVE!

Am sooo excited, I found a set of linen sheets at garage sale $15 😍😍
@berniemeyer16434 жыл бұрын
Your linen sheet looks like the flannel sheet on my bed. My mother cut out the center threadbare portion of a double sheet and sewed the sides together to make it into a single sheet. She even tailored the corners and made it into a fitted sheet. She stayed active as a homemaker into her 90s and passed away at 99 still in her sound mind. Sewing, mending, cooking from scratch can promote a long and active life. And the things you craft carry on as a testimony. I still have the sheet! Acts 9:39 Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

Hello there! Your family is just so amazing! My husband passed away of brain cancer almost 4 years ago as of Nov 28th, 2016. My daughter and I miss him so much! But....We know he's up there keeping a good eye on our mansions until we arrive. 😁 I'm a nurse of 27 years. When my husband passed away, I had no one to help me care for my special needs daughter. Plus, Abba began REALLY waking me up to so much spiritually. He assured me that we would be taken care of, so I take care of her full time and homeschool her. I don't TRUST anyone with my girl! I just can't hardly bear the thoughts of nursing ANYMORE. As a follower of Christ and being "AWAKE", I can't bear carrying out tasks and treatments that I KNOW is harmful for my patients! I just can't bear to have that on my conscience! Cherish one another! Life is short! You are a blessed woman of God my Sister.👩👧💕

By the way there is a few sewing channels for those who desire some basic skill helps. But someone who I have enjoyed watching who has done so professionally and enjoys hand work, and makes her own historical clothing. She can help those of us needing some real live helps. She currently now works a lot on an antique sewing machine but most of her earlier video’s is all hand work. She does make a couple of antique under garments. Her name is Bernadette.

Hi Nathan!
@TwinklingofaneyeLoveStoryofGod2 жыл бұрын
Has anyone looked up this ““You shall keep my statutes. You shall not let your cattle breed with a different kind. You shall not sow your field with two kinds of seed, nor shall you wear a garment of cloth made of two kinds of material.” Leviticus 19:19 ESV “Ye shall keep my statutes. Thou shalt not let thy cattle gender with a diverse kind: thou shalt not sow thy field with mingled seed: neither shall a garment mingled of linen and woollen come upon thee.” Leviticus 19:19 KJV The Septuagint says, thou shall not put on thy self a mingled garment woven of two materials. I’m understanding we shouldn’t mix and put garments should be 100% natural and not blended with other fibers, natural or not. Shalom
@NathanReynolds2 жыл бұрын
The verse and all surrounding verses in context are dealing with mixing of unlike kinds, animal and plant or various kinds of different seeds it is absolutely impractical and not realistic to not have two different kinds of fibers being woven into certain fabrics. Linen and cotton are both plant-based and often cotton thread is used to sew the garments because linen thread cannot be sewn with the machine as it breaks constantly. But mixing fibers in a garment such as silk and wool would be unlike kinds one from an insect the other from an animal.
@TwinklingofaneyeLoveStoryofGod2 жыл бұрын
@@NathanReynolds you make an understanding point. I’m brand new to Torah, and Yah is encouraging me to step out of consumerism, repent of all my decisions to buy into the image of this world. It’s been a fun journey to find out I wasted so much money on clothes I thought had value, (but is made of oil based fabrics that conduct energy around me constantly) the value was in a lie I believed would make me be someone I never should of been trying to be. Then I’m finding I had a lot more Cotten and linen garments, that are my favorite items in my wardrobe, go figure 😉. Thank you for answering my question. And Since most garments use Cotten threads to make them, I’m thinking plants and animal fabric should be separated. And plants threads are the same. And wool is hemmed with wool thread and silk with silk threads, so that makes sense. Thanks for answering the call to shine light on the darkness. I recently stepped out in faith and shined light on my own darkness that hadn’t been spoken of ever. It’s very uplifting, and peaceful to know it’s been spoken of, even if the person denies it. I know I closed a “huge” door in the spiritual world. Thanks for sharing your message with the world, Yah used your testimony to encourage me to create my own corner stone. I pray Yeshua blesses your entire world, that he will use you to bring more people awake and out of the darkness. Thanks for answering the call. Shalom 🕊
@TwinklingofaneyeLoveStoryofGod2 жыл бұрын
@@NathanReynolds Hi again, sorry for leaving two messages. 🙃 I had just prayed and pondered this more. If I was to find a common thread 🧵 in Leviticus 19:19, it would be to not make something new from what God already made and gave us. And the word “diverse” means “composed of distinct or unlike elements or qualities” So this could mean not to blend unlike things to create a new thing, from 2 totally “diverse” things. Like the “pluot” (not a good speller) a plum and a apricot, I don’t think was intended? I’m just learning and just wanted to bounce some ideas around. As I’m on this adventure, I’m finding it’s VERY hard to find pure clothing or fabric. It’s not impossible, but it takes more effort then I wanted to give when going down this journey with Yah. But then I ask WHY is is hard? Maybe because the road is narrow and this is part of walking the narrow path. And also Satan wants us to just conform to the norms of this world and sets all kinds of things Yah doesn’t want us to do. Like Pork is in EVERYTHING! But staying vegan is a ways I’ve found a way out of the pork. I still eat milk and meat and eggs and honey, just use vegan as a safe zone when buying other products. Sorry for so much talking about this, but I’ve been really trying to seek what Yah wants for us and how we can walk out his laws the ways he intended. In the book of Adam and Eve, it mentions the animal fur Yah gave them to wear as clothes was fasten together by palm thorns. So I’m thinking sewing together with a different material is okay, like using Buttons to fasten a shirt close. 🕊
@TwinklingofaneyeLoveStoryofGod2 жыл бұрын
OK last time I promise I will be replying to the same message, but I have a huge testimony and confirmation to what you had replied earlier, in that not to mingle animal with linen. I went to Ross discount store in California where I live and literally got three pairs of linen pants and three linen tops and one of them being 100% linen. Yah confirmed what you said today by blessing me with a wardrobe of linen as I had desired and asked him yesterday. Praise Yah!🕊
