Realistically… 300 hyenas plus Scar (numbers according to the original series) would have ripped 8 lioness and one Simba to shreds.

15-20 hyenas can’t take on a single lion, even 50 hyenas can’t take on two, plus there’s 9 lions (+ Simba), lions are more powerful in numbers and they have each other’s backs, they watch each other’s backs in case if one or 7 hyenas tries to make a strike from the back
