@@deionpehowdy He actually manages to escape because one of the logs breaks and that causes Nuka to let go of his paw, otherwise Nuka had paralyzed Simba and he had no chance of escaping even Nuka managed to damage his paw.

Fun Fact: The outsiders were never supposed to be in the sequel. Instead, Zira was going to ally with the surviving hyenas who fled during the battle at the climax of the first movie. In one of the scripts, the hyena trio Shenzi,Banzai, and Ed were going to discover the romance between Kovu and Kiara. In retaliation, Kovu was given an ultimatum: either challenge Simba for the throne or Kiara would be killed.
