2022 Coming back to this makes me tearfull. I still remember the emotions I had watching this as a little kid, brings back memories. Lion King is what inspired me to become an animator, and Im slowly getting there. Now finally able to do animation of my favorite TLK characters, and bring them back to life. I know Kopa is non canon, but I still kind of believe he could of been a thing, but he never fell in love with Vitani, not even met her. I think Zira killed Kopa as a cub, when Simba and Nala weren't around to watch him(this was before Kiara was born). That would explain why Simba and Nala shelter Kiara in the beginning.

Alexcia xA Yeah I agree! But I heard somewhere that the people who made the movie didn't know about Kopa at the time and since they wanted the movie about a female cub... Kiara ended up being the direction the movie took. They could of also made a Lion King 2 1/2 as a in between story all about Kopa, but I don't know how they would go about it to link up the story correctly, with how lion king 2 played out... (hence Kopa was supposed to be born before Kiara but was never mentioned at all through the years Kiara grew up.) Unless they decide to remake The Lion King 2 sometime in the next generation and make it about Kopa with a added Lion King 3 for Kiara. ^^; I really enjoyed The Lion King 2 Simba's Pride, so I wouldn't want it to just be scraped off the earth for a reboot... I say they should go for it and make a 2 1/2 just for the sake of it and see where it goes~ :) What do you think? (sorry I know this was a pretty long bunch of blabbering...)

This is actually very well done, the story made me about as emotional as the official Lion King movie. Has the creator made any other videos about Kopa after this one? If Disney doesn't ever realize what a gold mine this Kopa-storyline could be, then someone should make a script and send it to them. Great work on the vid!!!

Sorry I had to point it all out so here's a long comment. When Simba and Nala fell in love, Nala got pregnant with a cub named Kopa. Simba loved Kopa so much, He played with him all the time. One day Simba and Nala decided they wanted another cub. Kopa didn't really want a baby sister. Years past He still didn't like her. He thought that she was a brat. He wanted to take some time alone from his sister. He heard something from a far. He found a young Lioness climbing up the side of the rock. Her name was Vitani. Kopa became friends with Vitani. Everyday at the same time Kopa lied to his mother to go find Vitani. Sooner or Later, he has to go back home and hope to see Vitani the next day. The next day he had to take care of Kiara. Kopa decides to take Kiara with him. When They got to Vitanis and Kopas spot, Kopa saw Vitani and ran to say hi. Kiara ran up behind him and pushed him. Kopa fell on top of Vitani and they kissed. After the incident Kiara caused, Kopa started to like Kiara more then ever. As the years go by, Kopa grows older and Kiara stayed young and small. Kopas love for Vitani was still strong. Kopa one day went to see Vitani at their place at the same time as normal. Zira caught them in action of meeting each other. Kopa gave up on seeing her feeling sad as he walked home. Sorry I had to.

There are many holes in this theory of Kopa. For one, Vitani and Kiara are around the same age. So that would, most likely, not sell for a Disney movie. And in all honesty, it's going to be like the Twilight fandom and be an older guy dating a child (all i know is that the vampire is like old as crap and the girl is like...16-18.). I don't believe Kopa would ever be with Vitani if she was basically a 3 month old and him almost one year (lion age). And also, Kopa is noncannon. He only exists in books that don't follow the entire story. The book was only a piece of money to add to their wallets. And don't go screaming "HE IS AT THE END OF LION KING ONE!!!!11!!one". Yes, it is a male, but it was quickly switched to female due to disney reasons. Bash all ya want.

Like Kopa meets Vitani who's a familiar member of Zira And Kiara meets Kovu who's a familiar member of Zira too They were both outlanders But what happened is basically that Zira did find out that Vitani loved Kopa and Zira did hurt him horribly and he didn't make it? Kopa died not too long before Kiara was born. Kopa does find and fall for Vitani, Zira found out and saw that it was a perfect opportunity to avenge Scars death and to get back at simba. also, vitani isn't scars child, Zira adopted her and kovu, her only real child is Nuka and he is actually scars child Disney have even stated that Kopa is not a canon.

If your pictures can be found on Google make sure to put the filter no licensing for non commercial use on. If your picture is still up than that's your fault. If it is no longer there, with that filter in place, it's his fault. If you want to check and you don't know how to type in the filter first make sure you're on the only images tab then press the more underneath the search bar. After that press usage a drop down menu should show up then simply press no licensing non commercial use. Any of the none licensing ones should work since usually pictures in there fit all the none licensing filters. (Sorry if confusing, have any questions just ask)

Let me clear up some questions that you guys seem to have. At the end of the first movie there is a cub which the creators named fluffy which resembles a male yellow cub. After the movie was released the books came out where simba and nala had a son names kopa. However kopa died while kiara was young. It's not cannon so both sides are right. However it explains how simba is so protected over kiara. Only serious lk fans know details about kopa. You can find the e book online according to your own risk. Sry about spelling

To me it seems far more likely that Zira wanted revenge on Simba for " killing" Scar. I guess she really liked him and thought he was a good king ( for some reason I can't fathom, because he was basically starving everyone to death) but, she took a page from Scar's book in taking advantage of an innocent, trusting cub. She wanted to cause Simba as much pain as losing Scar had caused her. So, I think she lured Kopa away and murdered him, like Scar almost did to Simba ( and succeeded in doing with Mufasa). Simba found out of course, and Zira and her followers were banished from the pride for treason. This explains why Simba is so overprotective of the young Kiara and why so many females that apparently used to belong to the pride are now outcasts. It also explains why Kopa is never mentioned at all throughout the second movie. Simba and Nala are still grieving over the lost of their first son, and are too worried about keeping Kiara alive to talk about what happened. Kiara doesn't even know, because she must have been very young when it happened, or she would have known about her brother dying and a large amount of the pride being banished, and she wouldn't have been surprised in discovering the outlands just before her meeting with Kovu. I quote, she states " I wonder what's out there?" . If she had been old enough to remember Zira and the others being banished, she certainly would not have wanted to go explore there. Just a theory though, so take this with a pinch of salt.

Ugh I have to say something. Kopa is from the books made PRIOR to Kiara, with Disney's permission, Technically Kopa is the first born and Kiara is the second born then Kion the noob. Kopa can be considered neither canon nor fan-chari due to this fact since Kopa was not part of the movie series, however, Kopa could have been on a journey of some time during the movie unless of course he died, which is not the case in the books.

For everyone here that think's the writers of the Simba's Pride didn't want to use Kopa at all because they didn't like him, the real truth is that while it was in production they had no idea that Kopa even existed. It would have been interesting if he did exist in the movies but since Disney hardly ever listens to it's fans on what they should do Kopa will probably only exist in the few books that he's in. I hope if another lion king movie is made it will have kopa in it. maybe simba could explain his story and how kiara had an older brother that she didn't know about, and later on kiara and kovu actually meet kopa as a grown up lion with scars all over his body and simba would be speechless while nala and kiara are thrilled. kopa could explain how he survived but couldnt find his way home until he grew up. kiara could bond with her long lost brother and even offer him to take the throne, since it was originally his but kopa would turn it down and let his sister and brother in law keep their titles.

So there is a time skip right after the first Lion King where they holding up what the creators called Fuzzy who in the books would turn out to be Kopa. It's actually because the creators didn't think Lion King will be so powerful with the audience so didn't even bother with sequel ideas BUT it's clear that the lion club at the end of TLK1 is a male lion and is Kopa. At the start of TLK2 you can see how everyone is much older from the end of TLK1 and the whole thing is different as well and the lion is female now? There is also books about Kopa. So there is a lot of fishy thing going on but I think they wanted to do something dark and in the end they couldn't dare to do it and that's why the whole Zira story is just so strange.

+Krisztian Bari no you are mistaken Kopa is NOT canon. While it is true that there were books that featured Kopa in them Disney does not acknowledge them as part of the Lion King universe. Disney had fully intended on making Simba and Nala's cub a male but then they decided to go the route of "Romeo and Juilet" and thus made their cub female. Also the Lion King was and is one of Disney's most profitable movies and sequels were always planned. So no sadly Kopa is not canon.

Hey everyone, just to let you all know that Kopa is a character that only exists in a book series and not the actual movies, they are separate stories and shouldn't be confused in having any involvement with one another, plus Kopa doesn't die, there is no mentioning of him getting killed in any of the books mainly because the books where out 4 yrs before the Lion King 2 was created which means Zira didn't even exist at the time so she couldn't have killed him, if you don't believe me here's a link below wiki.answers.com/Q/Did_kopa_from_the_Lion_King_realy_die?#slide=1
