"I want to be....a systems analyst." Brilliant left turn there that caught us all off guard (in the best possible way). Nice to see the original lumberjack's girlfriend too. So glad they got Carol Cleveland to participate in this celebration and I have to say she looks as beautiful as ever.

They did several shows, five I think, and _some_ of them did not do the "Systems Analyst" bit. I guess they were trying different variations OR Michael decided to improvise (and I'm glad he did because I howled with laughter at that).
@Daniel_Huffman7 ай бұрын
The reason for this is because pretty much everyone familiar with their work knows how the sketch goes, so they sometimes change things up to throw off the audience and keep the show interesting. The Dead Parrot sketch had a similar change in an earlier live performance in the 1980s: After Mr. Praline registers his complaint about his parrot, the shopkeeper takes a long long at the bird in the cage…and concedes that, yes, it is indeed dead, before giving his disgruntled customer a refund and some travel vouchers.

It's just not the same with the surviving badly aged Pythons ... though for this sketch, with the "I've been a chartered account for 20 years" line, it kinda works ... but then "I have a 45 year old chartered accountant here" rather badly dates it.
