Yeah it was sad to see, especially in this sort of scenario because he was a director on several of the films. Some might argue he was the brains of the operation, or at least the closest thing they had to it. And to see him take such little part in a conversation which i believe he was most eligible to engage in, makes it even sadder.

Funny thing about Meaning of Life is that even though it's not their best film I can't say what's wrong with it. Every bit, especially the ones that didn't make me laugh, were bizzare and weird in a way that made the movie unique and incredible. I can't imagine any bit of the film taken out, everything is important and lovable. By the way, it's nice to see all the Pythons in one room again (Idle is now a computer software? ok). The fact that they are still friends makes me so happy.

I'm always saying that Grail and Brian are Python's two major movies. That doesn't mean that I don't like "The Meaning of Life", tho. I do tend to see Meaning as a sort of swan song. It's like an episode of the Flying Circus blown up to the silver screen. Which isn't bad at all -- it's a very satisfying, in fact. While not as important as Grail and Brian IMHO, I see it as quite fitting that Python put a full stop to their ouevre by making a cinematic episode 46 of the Flying Circus (an interpretation I want to support by mentioning that Liberty Bells was played at the end).
@romanramirez78474 жыл бұрын
Rubjerg I actually think Meaning Of Life was the Python’s best film. It’s the funniest and sharpest film in my opinion. Likely because I love Flying Circus and seeing them go bonkers for one last hurrah always brings a smile to my face. R.I.P to Terry J and Graham.
