@alexgard4968 Working on that video... Have all the video shot just need to do the talk. Hopefully be out tomorrow or Saturday latest.... Seems like harder water is a big plus. I like using course aragonite sand as a KH buffer in the amount of about 1.5 lbs per 10 gallons... Sometimes balancing water hardness with decaying organic material like leaf litter can be challenging.... They like algae build up on surfaces and glass. I have had successful breeding in various temperatures from the high 50s to the high 70s. They will live longer in cooler temperatures just like shrimp... Hope this helps. I've been trying to put together what I have learned from phase 1 of the breeding project, so phase 2 can be even more successful... Thank you so much for the support. I will do everything I can to get more information out soon. I know it is seriously lacking out there when it comes to aquatic isopods. My hope is together as a community, we can all figure out how to make them much bigger in the hobby!

@phillipsfishworks What a great reply, thank you. Yes, you're right. There isn't much info out there. And as far as numbers go on the water and ratios of plant and dead leaf, I just try to copy my successful jars and keep putting my healthiest bugs and stuff in the newer jars. Gonna do several decorative ponds this year and I've been acquiring and learning about different freshwater layers to the food web in my new pond setup. Planning for success. Im about 45 minutes north of your guy's warehouse. Thanks again for your time.

COOL ! you have a kiln. when I was in high school I took a pottery course , I made 2 pipes and a bong ! luckily I had a very cool teacher , who referred to any item as a " vase" !

Very thoughtful! 😊❤ BTW you have such a soothing voice! 😊 my worms didn’t survive the article vortex, but you said you would resend and I appreciate it. And side note you changed my mind on scuds. I got some loaded in plants which I wasn’t happy about, never make that mistake again. I will never get them completely out of my shrimp tank but at the this time the numbers are low now. But anyways…I have been putting them in a snail only tank to feed my koi for fun in the summer. At first I was just throwing them out in the pond. When I heard they could attack my shrimp fry I hated them. The way the males attack a female and carry her around I can only imagine how well they can attack a slow moving shrimplet. But have a new appreciation for them now. They are just so fast, I am sure Bettas would love to hunt them.

I just made an order of two bags of bugs and I appreciate that you offer the education about keeping them and more. I will be back for some other cultures. I love my planted aquariums and this will make them so much more natural and also make my fish healthier and happier. I will be getting some Scarlet Badis soon and I am hoping these things will help me keep them in the best environment possible. I wouldn't recommend it... Some of the glazes I used have copper as an ingredient... Not sure if that would be an issue or not but I've never tested it or looked into it very far...
