My green water is very dark. Oh and my to 10 gallon microfauna tanks in 1 the scuds are thriving i love it i see hundreds of them,, I decided to but a betta in there to slow down the process of them breeding. Oh 1 more thing I found out that scuds love black beard algae tony. Anyways another great video. I might have to get some more sweet gum seed pods cause the ones I have got in the tank are basically eaten there just like little balls if that makes sense. Yeah the population is that much everyweek I take some out and put in both my tanks my 55 gallon and my other 10 gallon betta tank. Hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving Tony

Great message brother. I myself have been uninvited to holiday gatherings due to political beliefs. We need to unite once again. It’s actually so trivial, the things that separate us

Not that long ago finding info like this was a tall order. Concepts like this weren't being showcased and talk about outside of close knit hobby groups and academic circles. Thank you for teaching people this, this should be core knowledge for anyone who wants to get in to this hobby.

Do you recommend leaving the pods in the tank?

Hello Phillips or anyone here, how about scuds genetic diversity itself? I mean, they can breed in furious and quick mode, as long as environment suited and food available, but if I let them breed and breed again, inside that aquarium, and never introducing new scuds from outside, so their choice is inbreed or Linebreed, at prolonged time, then, will the scuds become weaker or even the colony will crash and they're go to extinction?

If I wanted to establish some scuds in a community tank with fish as occasional predators, would I have to have a corydora-free tank for this to work? My concern is that I’d imagine corydoras being so relentless that scuds could never get established.

I’m in SW Missouri, and I find turtle shells and bones of all sorts walking through the woods. All of these bones have long rotted and bleached and I find keeping them in my tank after a short boil to disinfect keeps my tank happy and provides hiding places and cool waterscapes.

My aquarium has been pretty active. But recently I'm not seeing any daphnia or copepods. I have a few corydora. Think they've eaten their numbers down pretty low? I also tend to feed whole leaves. But recently I've been thinking of shredding those first. Anyone tried using shredded leaves?

I would like to add all types of beneficial microfauna to my 2 tanks: a 40 gallon planted tank with guppies and shrimp and a 40 gallon with a few plants 6 Pigmy Cories and 4 Yoyo loaches. What kind of order would you recommend to seed these tanks enough to make the organisms multiply and get established, not just serve as food just once.

Love your video. I've been wanting to try culturing white worms for a long time but didn't know how to start. Now I can't wait to start. I saw that you fed them through a syringe in some white solution. Can you show that portion of your video, the harvesting and feeding in that solution please?

Is it hard to gravel-vac your tank when you have scuds?
@theclamorbandАй бұрын
Hi, How do you harvest the daphnia from the green water without introducing live green algae into your fish tank which may cause an unwanted bloom? Thanks!
