even eating garbage out of the dumpster or off the side walks is an issue, my city has the oldest PWS in the world and he has 24 hour staff to stop him from eating himself to death

She's certainly a great mum with full marks for responsibility. As she grows older the denial of food however could become a real headache and make her crave even more. A wise strategy adopted by many dieters might be to allow her regular tiny quantity's of her favorite treat and teach her to savour and appreciate those treats as she eats them without going to the excess of binge eating. The mind craves most what it believes it is denied.

that cannot be done with this illness they will eat out of the trash if necessary. They never feel full and have to be watched constantly. Even giving her a little of what she wants ie candy or treats even a burger will develop a taste for it and the battle wont end. These people with this syndrome will literally eat themselves to death. I saw a docu where the person chewed their fingers as well. Her diet has to be strict or it can end badly. I have seen one guy with it he has learned to control it a little hes lost weight. He still feels hungry all the time but he can rationalize with his self why its not ok anymore. But he still has to be watched.,

By the looks of it she has structured meal schedule. As she grow up maybe she starts to understand things, and also make a better structure for her meals. Eating every two hours mean your body is bombarded with insulin every two hours..

No the mom is not starving the child. This child is a healthy weight. If you look up Prader-Willi syndrome you will see that people with this never feel full even if they eat a large meal. Had a young patient with this syndrome when I was doing my clinical rotation in pediatrics.

It's really has nothing to do with the actual food. It's the brain that's missing a sensor that tells you you're fool or you could say it's a very sensitive sensor that tells you you're hungry all the time. I love that there are videos to help educate myself and others.
