well you obviously didn't look for it harder than me. i honestly was trying desperately to find a copy on vhs. but then it was in british format. so i had to ship it to a dvd recoding place to recode it onto an american dvd.

I had no idea this version was out there. I was indeed the initial cut of the film but HTV didn't want to release it. So some scenes were re-shot and cuts made. I have a copy of this but as far as I was aware it was never released for public broadcast. How strange.

This was the VHS version I have always known, and this is also the exact same copy of The Little Match Girl for which I had on recorded VHS from 1986. Believe me I have had many a argument over its existence!! This edit is by far the most superior over the one available online
