It could also explain Six's hunger developing. LN2 was a prequel and while she wasn't the main character, she didn't exhibit any hunger and neither did Mono. Maybe if the kids are still dreaming about the Nowhere when they're asleep then they don't need to eat or otherwise don't feel hunger until they wake up. But, if Six was completely claimed by the Nowhere and couldn't wake up then she'd need to eat like she normally would.

Thinking on the child's Nightmare worlds influencing their monsters and experiences: * LN Mobile is the hardest for me to place. But I'm thinking with the main monster child called "The Pretender", the player character here is the 'unwanted child'. In her real life there was her perfect sister whose parent's and staff doted on, and the PC was the unwanted weird kid. * LN is starvation. I portrayal of 6s real life in poverty and hunger. She is skinny and distrusting. * LN Expansion is overprotection. He lived with his grandma and she was so dependant on the boy that he felt smothered. I mean she literally pulls him into a hug in the water. * LN2 I don't think is escapism. Mono seems to want friendship. I think its **neglect**. Adults seem to focus on the TV or on their looks and ship their children off to school (boarding school judging by the beds there), so they can focus on what they want to do without having to worry about their kids. The hunter monster was hard for me place as the others fit in perfectly, but considering he had a love heart on the tree and tried to stitch himself new family, yet he lives in the middle the forest - he feels neglected by his famly and loved ones. He also does not kill six, he is keeping her. * LN3 is overindulgence. The lollipop boy looks plump and by his hairstyle/clothes seems to portray a child who is well kept and spoilt. I think you are right by him having influenced that world. The giant baby fits into this, literally everyone is a doll to this child and it can have its way. I would love to see the third boss and see if it fits into this.
@KiwiKollectorАй бұрын
My biggest problem with world's being influenced by children that turn into monsters is that 'other kids' die in these worlds. However, maybe this is what makes 6 unique, she has worked out that if you fall into your nightmare world you are bound there, or you can die elsewhere. This would make what she did with Mono at the end beautiful rather than evil. If she knew he would protentially die if he came with her, she threw him down to be bound to his world and keep on living. At least until she found a way out of the mess.

I always wondered who was having the children in the Nowhere, since all the adults there seemed to only want to kill and/or eat the small children. How would babies manage to survive long enough to become the player/children npcs if they were immediately gobbled up? The fact that the children come from another world makes complete sense.
@FinnWilliams-r2tАй бұрын
The nowhere tempts children with their desires. For example, throughout LN2, Mono is drawn to go through the door in the tv's because he thinks it will lead to his freedom. His desire is to be free from the nowhere, but later his desire shifts to wanting to be with Six, and later after Mono escapes the thin man the nowhere tempts Mono with the shadow figure of Six. Also, I think the nowhere is quite literally a living planet, because there is a globe of a fleshy planet with eyeballs in the lady's quarters. I think the minds of children are the gateways to the nowhere, and the longer they stay in the nowhere the more they change. The monsters of the nowhere feed off the souls of children, but an amount of their souls go's to feeding the nowhere, making it more powerful. Great video by the way, I'm always excited to consume any Little Nightmares content i see! 🙂🙂

Don't both "Hansel and Gretel" and "The Pied Piper" also deal with adults pissing someone or some entity off, which takes the kids away as punishment? The Pied Piper kidnapped the kids because the adults of Hamlein refused to pay the piper for his service and Hansel and Gretel, well their stepmom was jealous of them. Her, her husband and her stepkids were also starving. So, she left her kids in the forest in the hopes that the elements or whatever/whoever would rid her of more mouths to feed?

this also gives me Coraline vibes because both the other children and the kids in Little Nightmares were lured into a twisted world inhabited by twisted entities (in Coraline, she deals with the Beldam and her creations whereas the other children like Noone in Little Nightmares has to deal with nightmarish monsters whom some of them might actually be the children who grew up to be monstrous entities). it's also makes sense you think about how Beldam's creations (in the book) have some reference to the kids like, there were two woman and one man, a reference to how there are two ghost girls and one ghost boy (the crazy man upstairs is just made of rats and Wybie isn't in the book). and as we go deeper into both stories, the world they venture becomes more and more obscure. idk if the devs took this inspiration but i think this is a cool reference. Trust me when i say the novel version of Coraline is a lot creepier than Movie Coraline.

@xenomorph-nb6thАй бұрын
I still think the nowhere is a remnant of a real world that was invaded by the entity in the same way it is now invading the counties, through the minds of children, and eventually the adults would be the only people left, to be twisted and turned through torment and loneliness and their world becomes apart of the nowhere, then the entity moves on to the next world to corrupt and consume.

I feel like The Nowhere has existed far before we know, I mean Otto states his mentor DISCOVERED it, not created, discovery implies its existence prior to its discovery, hence why there are so many children and their clothes from different time periods, along with the mixture of electrical use and stuff that looks like it’d be ancient, the necropolis is one example of an ancient like city, the children created the nowhere within their trauma so that’s why it exists within multiple time periods, I think each period is put together in bundles, and in order to get to new time periods you have to cross the fog
@brittany45Ай бұрын
Yeah, the Nowhere could just be a modern take on the Fae realm or any other otherworldly "spirit" world that every culture has come up with to explain why sometimes children get lost (woods, mountains, caves, ect) and come back 'strange' (changelings, spirit-touched, insane).

11:21 I don't know if I believe that, I know it's what's said, but I believe it's more accurate to say the imagination of adults is manifested differently. Children can have a broad imagination, to think absurd thoughts like a land where rainbows are made of candy, but adults make fictional lands all the time for books , games and movies. Adult imagination is just more refined , or suppressed for daily duties that don't require imaginative solutions. That however can go to engineering. The best inventors have the best imagination, and it's grounded in reality but takes an imagination to consider things to improve their life , productivity, and even society.
@digitalizationАй бұрын
I love that someone is saying this because I had TERRIBLE imagination as a kid, all the things I "created" were paper-thin copies of whatever else I saw at the time. As an adult, I write short works of fiction and create small worlds to play in. Children might believe some things easier (I did not either, lol), but some kids truly just don't have an imagination and it's wild to me that "children's imagination" is so praised as this wonderful amazing thing when it's just not the case for me lol.

The only thing I do not agree with is the theme of the new game. While it does sound good "spiralling into madness" is not really a social issue we have in our society. LN1 discussed eating disorders, LN2 discussed escapism. And they in and of itself also contained the theme "spiralling into madness". And in both the protagonists fall into the madness of the world while we play them. In 1 because of desperate hunger and in 2 because of the betrayl. While the game could take our extreme sugar consumption as a critique to our society, I don't think this will be a theme as we already had eating disorders in the first game and it would be low key repetitive.

My headcanon is that they are the same, but they take on aspects of the nowhere that they are in. So the glitchy six is glitchy because that part of the nowhere is under the signal tower's influence, but shadow six is shadow because the Lady holds power in the maw. If that makes sense?

I heard a theory that the raincoat child in the picture in the maw is the Lady's daughter and that child is the granny in the water basement If we also asume that the lady was a child trapped here then we can also conclude that maybe they were companions Like what if the girl came to the maw,became the Lady,started doing...whatever she does and then she found the raincoat girl(not six or the one in vln) in the maw,she also recognised her as one trapped here and so she tries to keep her safe too.Maybe she tried to escape because the lady already lot her mind that point or slowly loosing it.And that girl also slowly turned into the granny. Yes there are a lot of "gap" in this theory but i am sure some or many can figure it out

You are indeed my favorite KZbin theorist, @tericho. Now that we have everything that we do, it would be interesting if Mono was Otto. Listen to the sounds of those two names. They sound somewhat similar. You see that photo you put in your video where Mono as the thin man is at a desk with a child on the other side. What if Otto found a loophole knowing they only take children because they are easily persuaded, so he found a way to travel in time, so he was a child, and he went through. Time doesn't exist when it comes to mono/the thin man. Plus he had to find his own way in not through dreams so he found a way through the television instead. It's just interesting that you see the photo of the thin man talking to a child at a desk just like I'd imagine Otto would like with noone. What do you think?
@TerichoАй бұрын
When I was looking at the man at the desk again I was wondering if Tarsier had planned the whole "counsellor" thing ahead of time. I actually think Otto needs to fracture his mind in order to travel to the nowhere. He could definitely "regress" mentally. But the ferryman talks of "debts not yet paid". I think that was our hint that Otto has to pay a higher price. That being his sanity.

I find it intriguing that Otto can't travel for the nowhere because of his age and his lack of imagination. It makes me wonder, would I, a 20 year old, be able to travel to the nowhere? The dreams/nightmares are vivid and feel real, I can smell, touch, see, taste, and hear as if it were real. So again I wonder, could I travel to the nowhere, even as an adult?

Good video! Another thing to note about the thin man and his connection to tulpa's is his resemblance to "The Hat Man". The Hat Man is another modern myth, similar to slenderman but more commonly associated with shadow people and sleep paralysis. Popular accounts from subjects who experience sleep paralysis describe a tall dark silhouetted figure, in a trenchcoat and hat at the end of their bed. I find this interesting considering that sleep paralysis is the closest feeling of a tulpa people can experience and that open eyes are a prevailing symbol in the nowhere. Not to mention that the remnants of the victims that the Thin Man claims resemble shadow people.

I have a theory that The Hunter and The Janitor knew each other and possibly lived under the same roof. In one of the rooms of the hunter's house specifically the one where you find the raccoon hat there are a bunch of old fedora hats very similar to the janitor's and there is a shirt with VERY long sleeves hanging out from a drawer. And outside where the wooden porta-potty is, there are clothes on a clothing wrack. Specifically two different shirts. One is bigger with sleeves the same length as the hunter's arms. The other one is smaller with sleeves the same length as the janitor's arms. So that heart on the tree could've actually been a sign of friendship between the hunter and the janitor. Maybe the janitor does the pale city to the same island the hunter was on, stayed for a while, then fled to the maw possibly after learning about the taxidermied human bodies.

HEAR ME OUT. i’m sorry if im getting some of these factors wrong but here’s a part of my theory. during this video, you mentioned how the lady might’ve been a child who got trapped in the nowhere and grew up into a monster. to me, it made sense but i think it possibly cleared up a few other ideas i was having. you showed the picture of the detective and the thin man who looked COINCIDENTALLY similar and it made me think, what if the thin man was the detective who was trying to find the missing children. it’s difficult to say considering that all of the adults in the nowhere seem to want to kill the main characters or just the children in general, but what if they are trying to help the children instead. usually in children’s nightmares, whenever they die, they finally wake up like when the mc gets caught and wakes up at their checkpoint. maybe the lady (who was once a child who grew up) is trying to kill them in order to wake them up, same with the other adults. and the detective is the same as well. often times in the death animations, they clearly die whether it’s the chefs cooking them or the lady just sort of snapping their bones. but with the thin man, he never actually seems to kill them. he just sort of picks them up. maybe he’s trying to identify them? not only that, but when he takes six and the other kids, he leaves behind a hologram of them. that might be him actually managing to bring them back to the real world, only leaving behind fragments of them that were left in the nowhere. the only hole i think is that mono turns into the thin man which idk what to say about that. but other than that, i think it’s sorta solid. if you could check this out that’d be great!

I do wonder how the children’s powers fit in to everything. Is it just a side effect of them being warped by The Nowhere? Does each child have something dormant in them that can be awakened by The Nowhere if they give in to it? I forget which channel I heard it from, but I personally liked the theory that the Ferryman knows most children won’t last long in The Nowhere, but he also knows how powerful they can become if they survive/become warped by it. That’s why he offers them the choice, it’s a chance to escape their traumas and become stronger, but first they have to “pass the test”

Gonna be honest, I prefer to still stick to the theory that Little Nightmares is just some insanely messed up dystopian world where it was normal at some point, but somehow turned into the gigantic warped world it is now, and the explanation for all the super small characters is just that they weren't affected by whatever force is causing this.

I FOUND SOMETHING! So Chapter 3 of The Sounds of Little Nightmares if you go 10:27 (not in this video but in TSOLN) Noone describes playing with a doll and she’s replaying herself humming..it sounds EXACTLY like Six’s theme!! So…. could Noone.. possibly be Six?

I’m a bit confused on why the nowhere is referred to as the Spiral, i only understood that its because you have to be mad to travel there and your mind spirals
@goldenstucture849Ай бұрын
also i think the world the nowhere has a name for a reason i think the place is alive in little nightmares 2 i think it shows its true form

You should make a video about this theory I have so I think the thin man wasn’t trying to hurt mono. I think he knew that six was gonna let go of mono’s hand so he was so he was trying to get mono so he wouldn’t restart the loop
@KingSigmaTheIII26 күн бұрын
I have a theory that mono is the scratched out kid in the lady’s bedroom and that’s why he has powers but that came with a side effect of growing up,and the reason he is scratched out is because she is mad.

Now I'm imagining that the hunter was probably the son of an actual hunter, or someone who went camping or had a lot of survival skills teaching his son, so the hunter with the survival skills, built a house in the forest and began to hunt, developing a sadistic nature along the way, killing and turning things into taxidermy, like humans. He seems to miss his home, so he makes Taxidermy of people so he can feel like he's at home again, he doesn't seem to acknowledge it, but he has clearly changed, he is the killer, and he enjoys it. I mean, how could he acknowledge this? He seems as if he's gone insane

Dont worry about sponsors, you can have them, just out them in a special section of the video so we can skip them, everybody wins.

Hey! I have a theroy about "Shadow Six" I haven't played Minni Nightmars yet, but based on game play and other theory videos what if the girl who the "Prednender" killed at the end cursed her rain coat in case Six found it again and the "Shadow Sixs" aren't Six, but the orignal owner of the coat haunting her? Again it's just a theory and I have no proof other then the ending of Minni Nightmares as proof, but maybe you might do some digging between the 3 games and find that link?

That was the BEST explanation of the Little Nightmares universe I've ever seen- o-o

love this theory. do the children get physically lost there if they get deeper in the nightmarescape
@alang.bandala8863Ай бұрын
Just to clarify, the Thin Man is also a refference to the Hatman, a shadow like figure that normally apear in sleep paralysis and in other media, and to the TV Man, the urban legend of the figure of a man smiling that appeared in the static TV while the kids are alone.
@goldenstucture849Ай бұрын
hey i have something to say i think your wrong what it means is the kids are packed with innocence i know i thought growing up was bad but because that i was stubborn not wanting to give up by giving in but that's what the nowhere does it lets kids stay young grow up rotten because there still holding on six for example played with the music box as a monster but six gets aggressive when mono tries to destroy it but six gets mad because she was stubborn but six learned to let go the reason they came is because adults tell them to grow up that it never happened that way but kids who are stubborn think it happened a twisted way we see mono nice and always hiding from attention but soon he does the opposite and kills anything that takes his spotlight but still thinking he was always this way

To be honest, I’ve got a feeling LN3 is going to be a lot like Inside of any of you have played it, if you haven’t, it’s basically like little nightmares but way more puzzle based but it still has a horror vibe to it
@GossiptowneАй бұрын
I think the children having “powers” or abilities are them learning to lucid dream (like teleporting trough mirrors or TVs)

I think the nowhere was once a much more normal place. We see remnants of a normal society that seems to have had a brutal downfall. Maybe it’s that the world was originally created by children’s dreams but then some kind of infection spread across the world and corrupted it. There are pictures of the supervisor looking normal in posters.

You can put the sponsers at the beginning of the video or at the end. A skip tieline can be added.

What if the mirrors are the keys to get out of the Nowhere, like a sort of portal? If that's true, I can see Low and Alone committing such horrendous acts that they won't be able to leave when they finally realize. As a final reminder, the mirrors can show distorted versions of themselves as they turn from Visitors to Residents, just to put it into perspective like with the Lady.

Yes your my favorite theorist and fun fact: super horror bro wrote one of the little nightmares audio series
@adiadsky897023 күн бұрын
So that means Mono will never escape this haunted, creepy world? He is too soft and friendly compared to other children and what about his "time loop"? We see him transforming into Thin Man again and again. Imagined world has tied roots to him? It's his reality and there is no escape? Like you said the longer children are influenced by "nowhere" the longer they are twisted and jumbled. It's very good theory and has better concept for story than Six becoming Lady, but it also means some children won't escape like I mentioned Mono for example. He is pale and tired, like he had drowned in the sea. I feel sorry to him because he is my favourite child from those six children - I'm alike him. Maybe the noon is going to find a way to escape the world with other children? That would be cool. What do you think?

btw sorry for my bad English(is not my first language) I had a theory about all the missing kids….those kids are not missing there are in coma and this is their mind trying to keep them alive doting their coma…there are presume missing cuz their body’s are still there but their minds are in the no where and the one keeping them from waking up is death trying to take them….this is my theory now idk how important this is but it seems cool in my head 😂 hope you can make a video about it it interesting to hear this perspective also. Love you videos ❤ keep it up

I readed the comics and I noticed the ferryman is a shapeshifter. That could mean, if he appears in Little Nightmares III, that maybe he transforms to look like Six. It's just a theory, please tell me what you think 😁
