man this guy was the definition of charisma, he brought back the lower divisions. This guy is one of the hardest hitter p4p in the history of the sport, pity he lost his love for the sport and retired after Barrera. He could of gone to be a much better fighter.

In my opinion, the greatest boxer in my generation, to come from the British Shores. In any other day, would have beaten Barerra, I guess the same desire was not there. ...he is like the George best of Boxing, deprived us, of the best years of their Career. The candle that burns brighter, dies quicker.

Though Hamed may not have trained as hard as he should for his fight with Barrera, I don't recall seeing Hamed gassed after 12 rounds. His loss was a technique based loss, not a function of conditioning or being able to take a shot. Too bad he retired, losing to Barrera isn't the end of the world. Everyone, sooner or later looses. To bad he decided to end his career.

In trying to find just the right opponent for Hamed’s crowning, Manny Steward had steered clear of another talented Mexican in Juan Manuel Marquez, whose counterpunching style Steward considered the perfect antidote to Hamed’s, and settled instead for Barrera, whom he perceived to be more of a brawler and thus a better target for Hamed’s explosive punches. Observers and odds-makers seemed to buy into this storyline

Naz was long on the slide when this fight came up, he'd been champion 6 years before meeting Barrera....... he'd lost the passion he was more the family man. He'd also been scheduled to fight Barrera before and Barrera lost to Junior Jones,...... Naz sat there ringside and lost respect for Antonio. Barrera is an all time GREAT but also is Naseem Hamed. He came close to makde 20 defences of his titles. I saw him fight live a number of times and he blew me away.

Allah gave him gifted powers in his hands. This man had the power for a middle weight as a feather weight..they couldn't figure out how he hit so hard. It's from Allah. Augie Sanchez got the ass whooping of his life...yet Prince Naseem was oh so humble to pray for a man he just beat the shit out of. Yes Barrera beat him in a decision. But that's only ONE loss for him in his entire career ..

Why do so many boxing vids attract dumb racists and/or religous fanatics? Good vid this, its funny that naz and his team allowed so much to be filmed that showed them in a bad light! It really is an honest portrayal of why they lost this fight.
@KidDynamite12315 жыл бұрын
All the haters need to piss off...what on earth are you doing watching Naz!!! stop wasting your time...Naz was a very talented fighter but had his flaws like any other fighter...boxing misses him! No one has come and done what Naz did, the style, swagger, ring entrances etc.... stop hating.

fast twitch muscle fibres youl find the most of in sprinters which figures because all the fastest 100 meter sprinters are black i agree to a certain point but people like marciano could hit like a bulldoser and henrey coops could bang a bit a lot of white fighters have raw power through genetics and born agression

i think he lost the figh simply becuae he didnt had the same confidence wich he usually had, also rather then trainning hard he was doing to much showoff like haircut, this fight was the biggest fight he should have trainned hard.

Riath Hamed is blatantly a homosexual. Absolutely nothing wrong with that; but how does that go down - no pun intended - in a place like Yemen.

tbh as well i dont think naz could hit all that hard look at people like the hitman or pacman could swipe a lot harder personally i think naz's image was seen by promotors to make a lot of ££££ so he fought the easy fights shall we say for 90% of his carrer kelly nearly smshed him ffs when he fought a guy with bollox and boxing skill he got made to look silly
