I didn't know you could use a 3 wt on the Little Red. I'm so glad to see you do this. All I've read say to use 7 or 8 wt. I grew up in Arkansas but learned to fly fish in Colorado so I have a 3 wt and a 4wt bamboo that haven't been wet since we moved back home. :)

I usually use a 3 wt bamboo rod on the Little Red River but I wanted to feel something different that day so I took this rod. If you cast a heavy streamer, you might need a 7 or 8 wt rod but in my opinion a 3 or 4 wt rod is enough. I even use a 2 wt rod for dry fly fishing. When it's very windy, you might want to use a little heavier rod like 5 or 6 wt. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!!

You can fish and catch trout anywhere from the last outlet (end of catch & release area) down to the end of the campground.
