None of the artwork of these greatshells that I have seen are even close to book accurate. They don't seem to depict the scale of these creatures. The eyes alone are enormous but no one has shown this.

I agree. It seems like a difficult creature to portray accurately. I think a mix between LaMaery's version and Daitengu_koh's version would be pretty lore accurate.
