Kinda pictured him being a strategist too I thought it would be cool if like storm he gave off a green gas just passively buffed/healed his allies but only when he is dealing melee damage. But I feel like that could work with your idea

I would love to see Lizard as a strategist, and honesty just more villains and especially Spiderman villains like Electro, Doc Ock, and MORBIUS. Also, this is such a neat format to have this discussion, Im a big fan of the presentation of his abilities

i feel like he could work as kind of a dot damage hit-and-run focused healer/dps where you just put a bunch of poison damage effects on people with your claws and chemical pool and run in to refresh them. The tradeoff would be low burst damage and risking yourself in melee, but you can stack them for insane damage if everything aligns properly.

•For another odd strategist pick- what about Nightcrawler? -His passive would obviously be wall climbing and double jumping given his nimble nature. -His primary fire would be him triple wielding his cutlasses/rapier with his hands and tail. -Secondary/Alt fire would be a BAMF cloud that applies an off heal and minor shielding somewhat like Zenyatta. -For his primary ability he can teleport and release a BAMF cloud that provides healing and shield. He’d have three charges which refresh quicker on a kill or an assist. He can pick up a target pressing Y/Circle and then teleport with them. Then they can either put them down gently by pressing it again or throw them with X/Square. Button layout may change- I haven’t decided. Teammates cannot be thrown pass kill barriers- they’d get knocked back up on solid land as to avoid griefing- that or it’s like Hulk and Wolverine and they have to accept the teleporting prompt. -Secondary ability would be a massive BAMF cloud that obscures allies and provides them with healing and shielding over time when inside it. -His ultimate would have him pull every enemy in the center of a massive BAMF cloud that lowers enemy defenses and damage whole slowing and obscuring them- the BAMF cloud has the same minor overtime healing and shielding effects as standard BAMF clouds.

Super cool and nice presentation! The only thing I think would add would be the lizard could crawl on the walls with predatory prowl. I think itd be pretty fitting.

B-tier, grounded villains is kind of exactly what the roster needs. Like we're guaranteed to get the big boys like Thanos, Ultron, and Doom. But big comic book crossovers like this and MvC always ignore these guys like Lizard.

I think the way reptilian rage needs to work is that after using it you get a debuff in your movement for like 2-3 seconds so its like a last ditch move or a trying to buy more time

The (E) ability could be reworked into **Tail Hold**, where the champion jumps to an enemy and wraps them up with their tail, holding both of you in place for 2 seconds. Neither of you can hurt each other during this time, but you’re both wide open for everyone else to attack. This would make it more of a team focused move since your teammates would have to jump in to take advantage of it. It adds some risk too since you’re stuck and can’t fight back while holding the enemy, so it’d need some good timing and coordination to pull off. For the passive, when the champion successfully sticks an enemy (like with a stun or hold ability), he could emit **2 pulses of healing** in an area around him over the duration of the stun or hold. The healing would only activate if he doesn’t get interrupted or hit out of the ability, encouraging smart use of his crowd control and positioning. This would make the passive feel more rewarding with his team-focused playstyle, giving allies a reason to stick close during fights.

Imagine having a huge crocodile mouth and not using it... jokes aside, great concept! I think it would be incredibly funny if Chemical Canister had like a 10% chance of poisoning or straight up dealing damage to allies and a chance of healing enemies as well. Since "healing goes wrong" is Dr. Connors' whole thing, you know, a hint at his origin.

I also had a concept for him but as a vanguard but gotta admit he would fit better as support. But I do like characters that have tons of abilities if I could add to this Id give him spiderman like wall climbing and a tail strike that would push enemies back as an anti dive tool. I really love the ultimate idea you had

I really don’t understand people who don’t think this way. All I can think of when playing games is “what if they added this?” Or “they should change this” I’ve already made so many concepts. War machine, Captain marvel, Drax, Gamora, Surtur. My favourites I’ve come up with are my strategists, Vision and America Chavez. Vision would be like a hybrid support/tank, with a form similar to ramattra and Chavez who is more of a brawler support with aura like brig, but with elements of Ana and Juno. (Sry I’m overwatch brained) If anyone is interested I can put my ramblings in the replies, I don’t really have another outlet for this

When rivals first came out, I got a feedback poll where MR asked me various questions. My only complaint that i typed out for them was there was no Dr. Conners, so seeing this makes me feel like im not alone in wanting him. Although I do enjoy your concept of the lizard, I think there is some room for tweaks. Of course its all just interpretation as the devs could do anything they want, but I feel like throwing my hand into the ring too since the Lizard is my favorite marvel character ever. As far as most of lizards depictions go, he isnt a typical savage beast, but has spurts of intelligence between his animalistic brawling style, which is why i leave the class that Lizard is up to anyone. My personal choice would be to make him a vanguard, but the weakest of the vanguard, like how ridley is the lightest heavy weight in Smash Bros ultimate. Whatever the class, the lizard is a ferocious villain because he can keep up to speed with Spidermans mobility, harassing his movement with constant tail whips and lunging bites. This is what makes the character different from Spiderman, as lizard is almost like a spiderman without humanity. A predator hunting prey, a lizard hunting a spider. The lizard should be pretty fast, scaling surfaces and making the enemy lose sight of his movement like what is seen in black panther. However to make him unique, lizard should be aggressive like wolverine, getting right in your face and tearing you apart at any chance given. But there should be a little sprinkle of lizards smarter side, the side where he shows off his motivations, but only just a pinch so it doesnt steer the character in a different direction. My first little critique with the kit is the chemical canister. At first glace it makes a lot of sense for him as a strategist, but using chemical weaponry was never something lizard did to a serious degree in his history, despite some brief examples like in the Andrew Garfield movie. However if we are going to add the cannister at all to the kit, I think its more fitting for the character to hold the can while its open and spewing toxins into the air ( this was seen in the same movie and it showed his motivation and dominance very well). Maybe even a little roar during it would be a cherry on top. To replace the chemical can, I think he should have a fencing ability using his tail. The tail is a big part of lizards unique shape and should be utilized in a game as styled as MR. LIke Sobek in smite, that tail should be used to whip targets backwards as a fencing option, giving lizard this role of being an aggressive frontliner, but also not gluing him to that one task. I think the E and Shift are perfect, no complaints here. As long as its animated very wildly and ferociously then I could not be happier. The ultimate although i do think is fitting, seems a little too powerful to be an aoe weapon and a healing tool at the same time. If this were added I would not be too fussed, however I think theres room for something more unique. Instead of an aoe heal, I think the cloud should be just for visuals as the reptiles he releases are the ultimate itself. If Lizard or his team kill someone within the cloud, the killer gets a sizable heal per takedown. This would help the primalistic aggressive playstyle that lizard should bring to the team. All and all, just adding Lizard to MR would be everything i could hope for. As I am a biased tank player its in my dna to shift whatever i can into a tanky playstyle just cause thats what i love. However thats the fun of MR which is they could pull any feature and any ability from the hundreds of lizard depictions throughout the marvel archives to make a completely new one. As long as they keep him ferocious, animalistic, and not a total glass canon i will be happy. Hats off to you making the effort to put this together, its nicely done.

I return to the comments after actually watching to give my thoughts: Personally I think I disagree with Lizard being a frail strategist. I kinda sorta grew up on the Ultimate Spider Man interpretation of the character, so I'm more biased to the hulking muscle monster version of the Lizard (it's also my favorite character design trope in general). If he were forced to be a strategist, the ideas presented here would absolutely be what I'd want, but I'd far prefer a vanguard. I think that at base if he were a vanguard, Lizard should have around Thor levels of health (arguably less?) but in return be the fastest and most mobile of the vanguards, with a movement option as you describe here. Only instead I'd make it a toggle over a held ability, and his move set would hift accordingly. Less of a full movement option and more of a move set swap I think his melee walking would be a claw -> claw -> bite combo and crawling would perhaps be some sort of spit projectile or bite Beyond all of that the only other thing I've thought of would be an ultimate turning him into a giant monster similar to the Spider Man 2 iteration (because I'm a biased piece of shit LOL), with an enormous health pool, some "cinematic" i geuss attacks like Monster Hulk's thrash but less like MonHulk where you're focusing on controlling a space and throwing opponents around and more trying to pin down a single target and kill them, then move on to he next target. Rinse and repeat until you get max pulse'd in the face when you go back to normal but honestly if he were a strategist he'd be my strategist main and main overall regardless because the lizard is objectively cool

I wonder if they will add variants of characters as separate characters rather than skins. Like if Red Hulk was a separate character to Bruce Banner. It would be cool to see Regular Green Goblin and then have the hulking Ultimate Green goblin be a separate character.
