There is a SEVERE lack of personality in the sport. Seth is an 80s/90s NASCAR driver reincarnated into a fisherman.

You guys ( and girls) have got me hooked! I’m a 66 yr old from south Ms and fished all my life thinking I could do this for a living but didn’t happen but kinda quit and started Trophy Speckled Trout fishing and have been hooked on catch tag,and release those beauties. Chris I love watching you fish and your wife and thought at first it was show but I realized you are probably like I have always been” ONE MORE CAST” hard to leave and go home. Thanks for being authentic and bringing me back to my first ( love) as a kid! Obviously the big reason of your success is the pretty lady you’ve e been blessed to support and love you! God Bless you guys and your family!

Met Seth a couple years ago at the New England Expo. We talked a little fishing and a lot of duck hunting. I feel like he is as down to earth as anyone in the sport. Never waivers or gets bent out of shape. Lots of respect for dudes that do shit their own way and stay true to what they're all about.

I've been saying for a little while that it's not livescope that's killing it, it's the lack of personality and "characters". If you're a drone on the livescope, not explaining what's going on, not getting excited and taking advantage of being live, you're making it boring. Not the tech.

I would like to hear you guys discuss with your guest, "What can the industry do to grow enough to make it possible for more anglers to become professionals and actually make a living fishing professionally?" Currently, it seems like you've gotta be the next KVD and have a winning lottery ticket to actually fish for a living and still support a family. Or you've gotta be a rich kid that has someone paying for their expenses.

The forty-five years of age (passed that mile marker when Seth was a clean-cut Elite rookie), and I've said it to girls in the angling sport, who'd springboarded into the sport as female anglers young. Wait until you get to that point, as Seth explained, you've a decent twenty year of fishing for a species behind you. And you will surprise yourself, no doubt. In 2016-17 I was starting to do things with rod-and-line, that nothing in the previous decades, back to late eighties, you'd expect I would ever do. I don't know what happens. It's hard to tell that to a kid who was'plastered' entirely across magazine covers in their early twenties. That really 'that wasn't it', that really it doesn't all come together until two decades after the early, hyped up thing. But truly, it's how it works. You just can't tell someone that. I did zero that was meaningful or ground-breaking in fishing until I had put the years in. Simple as.

I shouldn't go without mention, that Seth weighed in a flounder once in Florida. That must have been traumatic.
