I've read that it becomes pretty unstable above 30 mph because its not exactly meant for downhill, but it kinda depends on the rider's experience. Hell no the tan tien isn't crap for freeriding. I actually just got the tan tien about a week ago and i love it, light and beautiful looking. I'd highly recommend this board for freeriding because its light, has duall kicktails, and symmetrical.

@Tilezs I switch over from the dervish so at first it was a bit uncomfortable. However, I got used to it really quick, concave is very beneficial for lots of riding terrain.

amazing! this makes me so thankful that i have a tan tien. btw, i much prefer the tan tien over the derv, easier tricks, wider for slides, more stable at high speed, and its pretty much just godly.

@stuntjunkyz cruising and carving is awesome if you can throw in some technical combos. This board is definitly more for technical longboard tricks, if you dont do tricks I would recommend the dervish or even the dancer

@legoman191 lol. well it wasnt my first time longboarding...and yes it was my first time on the board. I rode and owned the vanguard and a derivsh before, so that has a lot to do with being comfortable riding the tan tien

@bigkalabaw I haven't experienced the flex 2 Tan Tien But I have the dervish flex 1 and 2. And the flex 2 is extremely flexy and I weigh around 160. So for commuting I would recommend a flex 1 for anyone thats like 140lbs.+

@326513tyler Its about 3 inches smaller than the dervish so not as much room for dancing, also both tails are curved and there is concave on the tan tien. So id say the tan tien is better for sliding, and the dervish is better for dancing, but as far as parking garages, and hills I dont think any of the two have the upper hand
