Fermenting grain gives beer. Fermenting fruit gives wine. Coconut wine is a misnomer since it is not grain or fruit. Same as fermented agave (pulque) and sugarcane (guarapo). Tuba falls under that category where it is a fermented drink but not wine or beer.

Yes. You have to ferment the Tuba for 7 weeks.. these Tuba is called Siete Biernes( Seven Fridays). it can knock u out. Enjoy.
