I completely agree with the comment made by D Mertz! Your videos are amazing and you have the perfect inflection in your voice. My husband and I live in southern Arizona and while we absolutely love all of your videos, we are especially partial to the ones you have made of Arizona! Thank you so much for posting such great and informative videos! Look forward to each one! God bless!

Thanks Diana! I work hard at it. Does that mean youre some of the few who are watching my Road Less Traveled series? I hope so cause they ate almost as much work but few watch the ones about the less popular places. Im trying to get out that way before june.

@@TheWestisBig Yes, I watch your Road Less Traveled series too! All of your videos are great, really! I think that would be awesome if you were able to come out this way. Arizona is amazing - but you already know that! Looking forward to more videos from you!

Wonderful video about the wonderful lodges in Glacier Park. Our family has stayed at many of the lodges in the park. Many Glacier Hotel is probably my favorite lodge in any national park. Like yourself, I prefer the no bathroom cabins at SwiftCurrent Inn because these cabins are the lowest cost in the entire park. Otherwise, you can easily spend $350+ or more for one night.

This is another fantastic video. My sister and I stayed at the Many Glaciers Hotel for 8 days starting on June 5th, 2021. We had a lakeside balcony room. It rained hard that day with thunder, lightning, hail, and snow. The winds were sustained at 45 mph, with gusts to 65 mph that gusted towards the lakeside rooms. Our entire stay featured days in the upper 30s and low to mid-40 temperatures. Strong winds and cloudy skies (breaks of sun some days) accompanied the chilly temperatures. However, I prefer cold weather rather than hot weather. My sister is just the opposite so she shivered a little. Moreover, the wall heaters were inadequate for stopping the cold air that blew through the cracks and crevices of the doors and windows. The hotel staff we encountered were professional and very friendly. The scenery was truly amazing in the park, even from the balcony. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable and after we departed from the Many Glaciers, we stayed 3 days at the East Glacier Lodge. Similar to the Many Glacier Hotel, it has a majestic design. Another bonus is that it is located south of the Many Glaciers and at a lower elevation. Therefore it was much warmer with 70-degree temperatures.

i’m going to be there in mid june this year. but i’ll be staying outside the park- can’t afford to stay in side these days.

The room was rather expensive at $238 per night, but I had booked a year in advance. That gave me time to brace myself for the wallet pounding that would occur. The price was even higher at the East Glacier Lodge because I booked a room very late in the game. We took a round-trip sleeper car on the Amtrak from NY to Whitefish, which was very enjoyable. The alternative places to stay that you featured are very attractive and have some nice amenities. As you mentioned, there are some obvious advantages to staying at alternate lodgings. However, I do have to admit, the Prince of Wales hotel looks mighty inviting.

All of your Glacier videos are fantastic and have helped us extremely when it comes to planning our first trip. It’s my Dads favorite park from when he visited it back in the 70’s I am so jacked up to do your favorite hike. Getting in shape to get ready. Looks like bots are getting gg to the reserved campsites at Many Glacier because my wife and I have tried and are beat out within a literal second of them becoming available. Well, we will just have to stay outside the park but I’m sure it will all be worth do

Thanks. Glacier is my favorite park too. Getting a place to stay is a BIG problem! I didn't get to go last year because of the lodging issue - I can't afford to pay $500 a night to stay where there are vacancies. Can't camp because my video gear needs power to charge. Hoping to go this year but fear again I'll be priced out.

Because we were prohibited from crossing the border (thus cancelling our August 2020 trip to Glacier), we were in Waterton Lakes a lot at the end of last season. Our photos from the top of the Bear's Hump were pretty grody with the smoke. We've got a stay at Apgar and Swiftcurrent Motor Inn booked again for this August. I'm REALLY hoping the border will be open, but I'm bracing myself for yet another cancellation.
@TheWestisBig3 жыл бұрын
I wish I could a room in the park- let me know if you have to cancel- when you’re going to it I’d like to snag them up as soon as you do. Also, if you have any good ones of Crypt Lake trail I’d like to see them. Maybe even use them

@@TheWestisBig I wonder if I can just sublet my reservation to you ;) I'd love to have done the Crypt Lake hike, but my... uh... robust aversion to heights dissaude me from the attempt. The Highline Trail about tops out my courage! Whether or not we get to Glacier, I'm hoping to do the Bear's Hump again, and the Blakiston Falls area.

@@TheWestisBig heya'... Hopefully you see this before anyone else does, but I did have to cancel my Apgar Village Lodge (Aug. 30 to Sept. 1) and Swiftcurrent Motor Lodge (Sept. 1 to Sept. 3) stays today. I hope you're able to jump on them!

Going the week of June 21-25, I'm so excited. What are some trails that I can take with minimal snow, and gorgeous views? I am already planning to go to Avalanche lake.

If I have lodging in the Rising Sun Motor Inn am I required to enter the park from the east entrance? Or could I enter the park from the west entrance? I just don’t want to go to the west entrance and be told I need to enter from the east.
