Were you guys around or remember the Super Shows they called it or the NSGA World Sports Expo back in early 90's ? Companies invited sports stars promoting their products and all the photos ops and autos were free.

Great discussion guys! I prefer Chicago too, with the hotels across the street and not having to commute each day. Atlanta 1999 was fun because I had nearly the entire convention to myself, at least it felt that way.

right on with the shows - the before and after can be night mares - especially dealing with the feeeman's of the world. - Good tip for padding under carpet - we invested in the carpeted tiles for our booths - much less expensive and you don't gotta wait for larry moe and curly to put it down.

I have heard of unions of course, but had no idea they had that big of a footprint. It's just not something you see in my neck of the woods. The way John described it has to triple the costs?

I sense a bias against unions in some of John’s comments. Cheers to the unions for making it possible for the workers to have some discretionary income to be able to enjoy the hobby as well.
