when you said it started running bad in the rain storm my first thought was cracked distributor or water getting in the spark maker system. You captured the atmosphere of being at the event like someone that has been making videos for a little while. Thanks for sharing.

I'm from Wisconsin and I was there in My 27 T roadster with a Flathead but just beat the rain back to the hotel! I covered it up and couldnt get it running for the show on Friday because of fuel issues so I replaced the filters and fuel pump and still wouldn't run! After several hours of frustration I finally found a split fuel line by the Gas tank! I was so late Friday I caravanned to South Austin Speed shop and then the Continental club!

Lack of wearing glasses. I hadn’t used that press in 5-6 years and forgot to use a guide jig on the first 2 rows. Drivers side needs some work. (They stick out like a sore thumb when I’m driving) Passenger side and my 46 are good.

Buy a set of header sockets a little pricey but they work like a champ there four in the set I could not tell but if you are running old style motors 283 and 327 you must use AC plugs like R45 just making a suggestion. Whitney Martin by the way love the ride I have a 40 coupe and 32 Roadster

Hmm. Thanks for the tip. I’m going to grab a set. I have a 327/4sp I’m going to pull the motor and go through it. It was built in about 1970 when I got it last year it had fenderwell headers and a lumpy cam. I detuned it a bit with a smaller cam and carb so it’s a little more drivable.

My 32 is a 327 with double hump heads when I redid it I bored 30 over I love Lunati cams but I put in a little too much the last time I use to drag race and used champion spark plugs but these small block chevy love AC plugs they never foul you also have to use some kind of electronic ignition my 32 is msd my 40 is Pertronixs I like the look of original distributors plug gap is 45 12 to 16 degrees timing. Summit racing Powerhouse header sockets set of 4 two long and two short 5/8 and 13/16 pricey but worth ever dollar saves time knuckles and busted plugs. Whitney

Both my Chevy trucks are that way. Went up there for the show weekend in my crew cab (first show hauling a load and full trailer from Houston and back with this rig). Did good on the way up, just slurped the gas(not a big block, just a 350) but on the way home it developed a small transmission leak. Gonna have to get under it and check torque on the pan bolts.....
