brad bourgeois Wrong. They don't think of you. They try to never think of you and it's why they built these buildings. They will ignore you and use you until the day you die if you never speak up. They pay attention long enough to squash you and they don't stop until they win. So, we must be relentless. Make them hear you. Make them pay for this decadent and relentless attack on humanity. The Tower of Babel fell because of arrogance. Make them pay, or everyone will. Humanity has learned this lesson before. New York much more recently. It's too bad the super rich don't live in these buildings; We'd know right where to hit 'em.

Thank you for this report. I was recently at central park and knew about the impact these large buildings were having in the community. What I didn't know was that these millionaires and billionaires didn't even pay nyc income tax. Ridiculous!

yes, see the Fulton Mall in Fresno, CA it was marked as an Urban Park, and it has been destroyed for an unneeded street, so developers can get rich off of public funding, while the public loses 50 year old trees, public art, and architectural history.

Our entire system reminds me of a pyramid scheme. The concentration of wealth in these big cities means the pyramid looks and is bigger in denser areas, so the people on the bottom have a lot more weight to bear. You experience this normal symptom of our modern economic system even in rural areas and small towns, but the burden weighs a little less. I literally can't imagine how people in these cities aren't constantly protesting. Even at work, I would always be protesting. Somehow.

Excess. Its a fucking shame! It is a disgrace. The majority of New Yorker's must wonder what the hell that thing is doing there instead of suitable living spaces for the rest of us? The majority. The ones who can't find suitable affordable housing.

Corporate Socialism vs Democratic Socialism: a primer We are all socialists. Humans require society for survival. Socialism is all governance. Governance is the type of gov. tax appropriations, gov. regulations and the direction of gov. agencies. It is a spectrum. It goes from democratic socialism which is spending tax monies and having policies for the benefit of all those who actually contribute to the tax pool and represent the vast majority of the population, to corporate socialism which is spending tax monies and making gov. policies for the benefit of the corporate interests of the 2%, all while they pay as little in taxes as they can. Biden is a corporate socialist as is Rump who is even more corporate being a Repugnican. The lobbyists for the 2% have control of both parties now. People know there is something wrong but don't understand this and voted for the Rumpster because they knew he would be a radical change and because they knew radical change is needed, and he was their only option. Sanders and Warren as his VP would have won 2016 because they are democratic socialists, and would have offered the positive change needed, but the DNC is controlled by the interests of the corporate socialists and so they refused to have democratic socialists as their candidates. The democratic socialists in 2016 would have given the positive change that our sick political system needed. Sadly our sickness is now manifested worse after 4 years of Rump. He is the symptom, the pustule if you will, not the cause. He is the logical conclusion as our community deteriorates under the insatiable greed machine of the 2% as they dominate our political system. Ladies and Gentlemen we are screwed. Our country is becoming like the socioeconomic structure of Brazil. With an ever shrinking middle class and a swelling class of working poor, all dominated by the exponential growth of the money and control of society by the corporate socialist top 2%. Gated communities here we come.

I enjoyed this video 💜 and couldn’t help thinking of Bible stories about the temple towers of ancient pagans, notably the story about Nimrod who was the Instigator of temple-tower building. And we ALLLLLLLL know how that turned out LoL. Y’all better read your Bible and strengthen your Faith in the Son (Jesus Christ). Because there is NOTHING NEW under the Sun in terms of what’s happening in Modern Times, the greed, corruption, wealthy folks Lust for more and more money and Luxurious accoutrements. God dealt with that behavior accordingly in ancient times, and he will do so AGAIN in the near future.

Claiming that inequality matters and that all should be equal is in fact a ideology itself. The Plutocracy you talk about is only made possible by the very democracy you claim they are corrupting. In the past during the days of kings and aristocracy the plutocrats you complain about didn't in fact have power because there were no elections to buy influence for. Democracies are the actually problem and Plutocracy is just a natural byproduct of democracy because your "elected representatives" are and always be bought and paid for. There is no such thing as "getting money out of politics" because politicians have fund their campaigns and the Plutocracy will be the biggest donors and therefore the biggest influence on your "elected representatives". Democracy is a scam/lie and inequality is just a natural fact of economics. Inequality isn't the problem, democracy is.
