Easy Mode in TLD is a great low-intensity chill vibe gameplay experience. Also, I have been playing Custom: Medium mode with max loots and turned down (but not off) wolves and T-wolves. Looking forward to this expansion. Early Access done right should always be supported, and Hinterlands consistently delivered. ☕🥄

Im just devastated that our saves will be deleted… I have a 3300Day save that I’ve been playing for 3 and a half years and built a quite big emotional attachment to my character so that part about this really breaks my heart💔.. been playing The Long Dark since my 10 years and created the said save in my 15’ns so yeah.. guess adult Hood really takes away child hood..😅😢😔

Wow, 3300 days might be one of the longest running saves I've heard about! Also a bit bummed to be losing my longest save, but also probably a good thing, I started it so many patches back that there's been quite a lot of glitches building up from all the major patches that have happened during it. Although if you're playing on Steam you could always make a backup of your saves so you can play them in the Timecapsule version even after the Pass patch!

But getting that stalker run back up😩 Its not even really that id b lazy to do it again or something thats accounting some sort of working for it. I jenuanly built love for the character itself so seing him go like this after i had suplys to go anorher 10000days most likely is similar as If he just caught some sort of decease and had his time running out… Trully hurts mate🥲

Honestly a good rounding for this game and it seems to be the focus this expansion is fleshing out of systems to be something that'll last another decade. It's crazy to think that nearly a decade ago Scott Manley made a video about this game where I first found it. Since then I've been hooked.

The Long Dark gave me hundreds of hours of joy and awesome gaming experience for only a few bucks. Even with the upcoming 20 bucks it will still be one of the games with the lowest price per played hour I will ever have played. I'd pay 100€ for an expension pass. Yeah this is really cool. I don’t mind paid dlc for a finished game but the fact that I already paid for this game years ago and now the developers are asking for more money when their game is still unfinished just doesn’t sit right with me. Especially considering that they are making survival mode and story mode two separate games leading me and many others to assume we will have to buy another game even though the game we already bought is still incomplete. Also not to be this guy but why in the world are core game mechanic updates about to be locked behind a pay wall?? So you’re telling me that in a year the current survival mode will become unplayable due to glitches that I have to pay to fix? Cool story bro.

@@Queenwolfaj Chill out. If you already own the game you don't have to buy it again. The reason they're doing the split is because adding things to the game requires a lot of testing in both survival and story mode, that eats up time. Now they can have unique items in story and survival and save a lot of time testing. It also improves the game's stability. The new regions and travois and things aren't "core game mechanics." I don't know where you're getting the "survival mode will be glitchy and unplayable in a year" idea from. Redone animations, loot tables, craftable crampons, acorns and burdock, etc. will still be free.

I think you don't understand that Hinterland isn't like other game studios: they don't crunch their employees, they regularly donate to charity, etc. Of course, after 8 long years of free updates, they're going to need a more consistent source of income. I think it sucks that Episode 5 is pushed back further too, but I completely understand what Hinterland's up to. They have other things on their plate, rewriting the game's whole backend was a lot. Give them time and it'll be done.

You're not going to have to buy anything unless you want the Expansion Pass maps, challenges, etc. And core mechanic updates are not going to be pay-walled they're still going to be in the free updates they're launching alongside the Expansion updates.

Yep, I think so. . There must be something after this bridge. Given how the map is built; Small in size, with this road as a central element, it would become a fairly comfortable transition zone, with its forge, leading to another much larger territory
