I am devouring this series. Maps are cool but the context is brilliant

Your style in this episode reminds me a little big of the Fall of Civilizations podcast, and your content reminds me a little of a hyper-focused version of 99 Percent Invisible. These are two of my favourite podcasts ever.

This was amazing! And super informative. Please do more of these "Great Maps Explained" videos. Have you ever thought about doing one on the famous "insula Atlantis" map (that's updside down) from (I think) 1665 for an Athanasius Kircher book. Or a map of the Homeric world?

Is it weird that the story you mentioned and the map you showed reminded me of Atlantis? But something happened to the people and their traditions because 52 years isn’t the right number for the precession of the equinox and blood/sacrificial rituals are low level demon rituals. Not higher spiritual being rituals. Excellently told story and thank you for bringing this to my attention. This helps with my greater view of the world.

Americans be like"I refuso to correctly pronounce this foreign name" hey at least you didn't use the cynic phrase "i am completely butchering this name" like every other american content creator while still continuing to not even attempt to look up audios of the word and practice the pronunciation lmao. Well, at least you where factual, but please, dude, if you can find obscure codexes you can find people pronouncing these words.... You can literally ask Osvaldo, Jose or Carlos to send you audios of the pronunciation of the words and spend 20 minutes vocalizing. Neocolonialism starts at the tongue.

Hey there, could you tell me which word you think I so badly mispronounced? I did make an effort to pronounce things as well as I could in this video, and spent quite a lot of time trying to get it right based on what I could find. Also... I'm not American:)

@@0scur0_ When working with Carlos, I asked him specifically about my pronunciations when reviewing the video, and he did not indicate any that were a problem. I'm not saying I pronounced things perfectly, but you are the first person to say that they are completely wrong. If you do want to tell me what words you think I got wrong, it would be helpful -- otherwise there's no way to learn from our exchange. I hope you will contribute! Thanks.

Lol the drawings are so comical and hilarious. I could not stop laughing throughout the whole video lol. I think it probably fiction and was either a comic strip for entertainment purposes or it was some fifth graders art project. Why tf else would they have drawn the characters like that am i right? 😆😂🤣😭
