Remember how you could still see what was going on during The Battle of the Blackwater and The Battle of Castle Black even though they took place at night? Good times.

My (least) favourite moment was when Tyrion (paraphrasing) said "We're smart, we could notice something they don't. I should be up there helping somehow." ...Uh, Tyrion, never mind what you might see up there. What do you see here? IN A CRYPT. AGAINST A NECROMANCER KING. And then those ancient bones (just bones, no muscle) are somehow strong enough to punch through the sarcophagi they're interred in. UGH.

The main thing that bugged me in this episode was the plot armor. The castle is completely overrun, everyone is dead.... Except Pod, Brienne, and Jaime. The literal last three standing against that wall. Or maybe it wasn't them, I dont have epic night vision to see who it was.

What I really loved is that in the next episode you literally see hundreds of funeral pyers that they were able to quickly build that could have been built before the war in order to PROVIDE LIGHT. But apparently no one thought that light and fire could be helpful against a very flammable army that was going to attack at night

Based on what, her MASSIVE amounts of plot armour, which is somehow even MORE ridiculously contrived than Jon, Tyrion, and Dany's put together...? The best possible ending would have been the White Walkers win due to every human character's endless stupidity! 🤣

Sorry, I just discovered this channel a week ago and have been binge-watching all her GOT reviews since I felt exactly like she did when the show was airing - Started disliking the show in Season 5, which gradually turned into outright hatred. I didn't remember your name from previous videos so I didn't even realise that I'd replied to multiple of your comments along the way. 😁

What did Beric do? Be an example of resurrection so show-only people wouldn't freak out saying Jon's came out of nowhere. He also shows how much war ages a man. I mean Season 1 Beric and Season 3+ Beric don't even look like the same man.

The ending of this episode once again reignited a fear I've had for a good bit, concerning the books. We now see how incredibly rushed the timeframe for everything in the show is - and I am honestly worried about how GRRM is going to tackle the same issue with the books. If he stick to his plan, there will be only two more books. That is not a lot of time to even begin wrapping up this mass of plotlines. Dorne, Lady Stoneheart, Arya, Alayne, Stannis v Boltons, Griff... I have no idea how he'll manage that.

Alfie and Carice have always been miles ahead of our main characters acting wise. Worried for the last couple episodes where we basically have Cersei doing all the heavy lifting in that department. Great review as always! Curious what you thought of Lyanna Mormont?

I always thought the point of castles was to have thick walls to keep out invaders. And cavalry isn't really as effective at breaking through an incoming army without the infantry to back them up. Also the wights wouldn't be afraid of charging horses. And how were the Dothraki going to be effective without obsidian weapons?

I'll tell you one thing Beric did - He sold Gendry to Melissandre for use as a ritual sacrifice victim. That's right - Beric is a literal slave dealer! Also, the reason I didn't care that Arya killed the Night King is that he has never and will never exist in the books, so it's utterly IRRELEVANT who killed him! 😁

I’m cool with Arya killing the Night King. I just wish that instead of Bran warring into ravens, he tried going back in time (Like with Hodor), and warging into the Night King, giving Arya the opening to kill the Night King, and hopefully killing Bran in the process.

I thought the Ayra sneaking bits would have been better if it had been undead Rickon chasing her. While you were off becoming a badass and your other brother was becoming leader of the X-men the youngest and weakest member of your family was betrayed and murdered. That would shake anyone. But I think I'm putting too much thought in.

She hit her head against the wall and lost her weapon. She was getting overwhelmed by the wights, so she had to find somewhere to hide and regroup. Also, the space was more confined inside the castles, so she could've been easily overrun if the wights knew she was there.

If he dies his editors will finish the books, hopefully with the help of Daniel Abraham, who co-wrote The Expanse series with Ty Franck, GRRM’s assistant. Abraham would be a good choice because he’s an excellent writer who has a similar style to GRRM, plus GRRM knows him and is a fan of his work, so I like to think he could be involved. Anyhow, the editors know the story inside and out - if necessary, they will finish it themselves.

But cinematographer was kind of right. I saw episode on my TV and I saw everything just fine. Sure, night fight, but I saw it as it should be. Then I watched it with friend on computer monitor and only thing you could see was the faces. So he is kind of right, you could see if your TV is set right but show should be made so common folks don't have to do it. Also, complain why they made it a night fight is not valid. Night walkers bring storms and night with them so makes sense. Even if it was a day it was to damn cloudy. But it should be done right. Battle for the Helm's deep was almost entirely during the night, I saw none objecting they could not see anything. Speaking of casual s that you refer with "I told you so". Look no further then Angry Joe. At the end of last season he conclude with "don't listen to this idiots claiming the show went down the hill, it is still great". After this episode he made several rant video, he feels how Night King story ended was a letdown. Well I am not as angry because I saw it coming years ago so I was not as angry. I enjoyed it for a dumb spectacle it is, as long as they don't talk it is fine. Rest of it is just quips and "remember this line from ages ago" scenes.

There have been movies and television shows that have shown night time scenes (in almost complete darkness) without confusing the audience (30 days of night, Pitch Black etc).
@jevgenkova5 жыл бұрын
Reason why it was night battle is VERY simple. They can't afford to have aerial battle with 3 dragons in daytime, it would cost too much. It doesn't mean that we shouldn't be able to see what's going on though.
@goran77ish5 жыл бұрын
@@jevgenkova Well lets say they used the fact that Others bring darkness with them in their advantage and used it as an excuse. But I agree, we should be able to see things regardless. Lot of movies have done it way better as person below gave us examples. I could add there battle of the Helm's deep to. It was night battle and you could see more.
