I started 2 years ago a campaign with exarchate of Africa and roleplayed an alliance with the roman empire and the other exarchates. It was very fun and i conquered back Hispania on behalf of the empire, but then war weariness just became too difficult to manage. I don't know if it was intended or a bug, but it was increasing constantly and the only solution was to obtain more victories or conclude all current wars.

So far, the Roman campaign is amazing. I mean, the first part of my campaign was quite difficult, but I still had room to make some mooves which broke the initial situation to restore a proper byzantium, and then I was in a semi-stable state. I thought : "that's it, that's over, like all other TW campaign, once you get there, you can steamroll everything"... And then... The public order crashed, I was attacked in Africa by nearly everyone, the Caliphate attack me while I'm at war with the Sassanid... And that's great : that's a good campaign designed to put you in difficult position even when you have decent revenues, units and armies. Because you can't just destroying an ennemy faction that easily, without putting your empire at risk in a another front. You have to make choices take some risk, sometimes the AI will manage to exterminate your troops or attacking the criticals area of your empire. I don't understand why it is not more famous : it is the best TW experience I had in a while, and the best designed campaign I've encountered so far.

Actually forgot about this mod. Played years ago. I remember it being fun and challenging. But, the AI Vanguard waves were brutal and for some reason, when the baddies came from the north, most factions would not enter alliances with you. Kind of killed the theme, when the end of the world is upon you and the AI factions just ignored it. Everybody just got rolled up individually. Might check it out and see if it's changed. ALSO: Kind of hard to pull away from RR with Total Conquest and Chivalry, at the moment.

i broke the scripting for this mod 2 or 3 years ago and was too lazy to fix it so the demon invasion in the campaign doesn't fire maybe some day i'll get off my ass and fix it

I have downloaded it on my current pc and yeah I play everything on quality all boxed ticked like blood and SSAO. Some things are extreme quality other are performance and I have average of 67fps so with a great build I hope it's possible but damn though why don't they optimize Atilla better. I use FADE mod.

Don’t know why you would recommend a mod that has cease to update years ago. It also pushes the worst of Attila to a extreme. Making faction like Rome, already a defensive and turtle like experience to a extreme. Plus how can anyone be immersed when AI is not playing the same game with you. They does not take attrition, they does not care about upkeeps….Making things very tedious especially in higher difficulty. If one seeks for challenge there are better mod that handicap player less. Lastly, not trying to be rude to you or the moder, but i just think this mod really falls behind tremendously compare to every other mod you have covered so far.

Hi mate, there are other mods I’ve covered that haven’t been updated in a while. Doesn’t mean its not a mod worth trying. Just because you may not enjoy the extreme challenge or specifically the way this mod challenges the player, doesn’t mean others may not. You have your opinion which I respect, clearly this mod isn’t for you. Lastly, you can’t compare this mod to others I’ve covered really, this is quite unique in what its trying to achieve. The modder clearly worked hard to make this mod possible so to say it falls tremendously behind is plain rude. If you don’t like you don’t like it.
