This year I played - Persona 3 Reload + DLC (52h) - Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (60h) - Metaphor: ReFantazio (40h) (skipped the last month, to get to the final boss as soon as possible, but all stats are max and social links are all max with one exception )

@@bruis1527No, I focused on social links and main story. But speed ran through Tatarus (skipping most enemies)

@ honestly that’s pretty fair. That’s the only big flaw of the game. I’ve only played the original, so I forget that the new one is a bit easier and not as Grindy

It's so exciting to see Visions of Mana included here. I feel like that game didn't get enough attention, I've been playing this for awhile and I have to say even though I am not completely blown away I still think it's pretty enjoyable and that it has a beautiful design. In any case though I am just so glad that you have mentioned it here! My most played games for 2024 releases were Rise of the Ronin about 65 hours, Reducted 60 hours, and I platinumed a game named knight vs giant in about 60 hours and I also played a weird FPS roguelike named Deadlink for 55 hours. My overall most played game was Skyrim with some 250 hours in 2024 alone, Starfield 180 hours, Elden Ring 160 hours. And btw in my estimation I swear I am not kidding in 2024 I have spent around 3,500 hours on either finishing or just trying video games on PS5, Steam or the Xbox app on windows. Thanks! ❤

@@TotallyTubularJonathan Well I would never say to anyone not to try Deadlink but I could just share my thoughts. From all the FPS roguelikes I tried arguably Deadlink has the most fast paced addicting gameplay loop. I would say though it's rather grindy or at least it was for me, I was going for a platinum but at about 50-55 hours I just really needed a break. For expert FPS gamers though that don't care much about the trophies it might be 10-15 hours I think.

I take my sweet time apparently because I’m always 30% longer on games than a lot of people’s completion times. Of course, I stop and piddle around like responding to my favorite youtuber’s videos so that could be a contributor too 😅

I sincerely hope FF7 rebirth is on here. I put over 80 hours into the game and barely made it halfway through before I gave up because it was such a slog.

I played the Japanese EDF6, it is indeed huge. On higher difficulties, the game needs good planing and good execution. It is not as "mindless" as many people say. You need to know the merits and demerits of 4 pros and cons of weapons and vehicles. If you play couch coop, the combination between classes is important. A general tip is to play a few missions on higher difficulties, get a few good weapons and then enjoy your superpowers on easier missions.

Rambler! I finished Brothership at 45 hours and I think it needed to be half the length like the old M&L games were. Infinite Wealth, Rebirth, and Shadow of the Erdtree were among the longest but I started Metaphor a couple weeks ago and that will definitely take me some time too.

Do you think I need to play the other Yakuza games to play infinite wealth? I know I need to play like a dragon but what ab the others? I have played Yakuza 0 and kiwami 1 then dropped off in the middle of kiwami 2

You should at least play „Yakuza: Like a Dragon“ to understand the current story. Otherwise there will be many spoilers for Yakuza 7. You don‘t have to play the other games, but it‘s 100% worth it. It‘s one of my favorite video game franchises. I played nearly every Yakuza game, but not in the chronological order.

I am not a trophy hunter, but EDF is good, so I got a platinum in EDF 2, EDF 3 and EDF 4. You can easily get the trophies if you play online with experienced players, so play it offline, if you want the challenge.
