XQC keeps talking about the potential of crashing it into buildings as part of the plan, but the reality of the time was that that was a completely foreign and unconsidered potential; the only thing similar to it at the time was the Kamikaze bombers in WWII, and considering they were using the passengers as hostages, the likelihood of the terrorists using them in an attack, was very low, and like I said, was likely unconsidered that's part of why 9/11 was so impactful, nothing like it had ever really been considered before, let alone executed; the concept of terrorists taking a plane hostage and then crashing into buildings to simply send a message without desire for negotiation, was an entirely alien thing back then, and thus they likely only concerned for an accidental crash, and not an intentional one (also just why in the hell would they just shoot it down, negotiators have a role specifically so that they don't need drastic measures like that)
