I'm 77 years young and I love, love all of Little Anthony & the Imperials songs. In fact I've my favorites downloaded on my KZbin library. My favorites are: Take me back, Going out of my head, Two People in the World, Hurt so bad, Outside looking in and Tears on my pillow. I might add that OWN Broadcasting has a podcast where Little Anthony takes you on the journey about his singing career with the Imperials. It's a great watch ❤❤❤❤❤

Saw them many times when I was a kid in NYC. Met Anthony during his solo period when a group of mine appeared on a show with him and some other groups. When we came off stage, he pulled me aside and told me how much he loved our harmony. Big thrill for me since I was such a big fan of his.

My Honetown Heroes! I grew up in the Fort Greene Projects as well. Although I am younger than Little Anthony & the group members, I know all their songs, bought all their records, and went to all their live shows in Brooklyn and the Apollo theatre as a teenager in the 1960's. Boy they could sing & dance! Fond memories!

Tears On My Pillow, Going Out Of My Head & Take Me Back are my favorites.... Didn't know that this was the first group that Sammy Strain performed in... I knew that he joined The O'Jays, but I didn't know this about him... I learn something with EVERY video!!! Best Channel!!!

In several interviews and reading Anthonys book he always clarifies that they were not a Doo Wop group. He is correct and states they were a rhythm and blues group. Doo Wop would be considering groups like Dion and the Belmonts, The Impalas, and others. A very informative video.

Little Anthony and the Imperials are a classic Rock&Roll/R&B group, that really made their mark as vocal pioneers. My favorite songs by them are: "Tears On My Pillow", "Shimmy-Shimmy (Ko-Ko Pop), & "Goin Out Of My Head". Little Anthony & The Imperials were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2009!
