@@FreedomFighter08 Thorongil means Eagle of the Star and it's a nickname that porple of Gondor gave him when he was in Gondor's army when he was young. Estel means hope and thats what everyone called hm when he was a kid in Rivendell to keep his true identity secret from Sauron.

And he spoke with a fondess and said if I should become king Strider will be the name of my house. If there is truly one part the movies miss on its the large part of Aragorn who is the ranger, and what that really means. A people whose kingdom had been shattered but never strayed from their duty. It is the stewardship of the free peoples of the North without thanks and renown, that was strengthened by his fostering in Rivendell, that helped make him the King he would become. Tolkien would probably stab me with a Nazgul blade himself for saying this but within the book there are very Arturian correlations and older that the king is the land aka the Fischer King. The hands of the king are hands of healing....its truly one of the missed parts of his character.
