Hi Nathan, thanks for the video. I’ve just bought the concerning hobbits tab and am loving it. One thing I struggle with is holding a chord while moving up the fretboard, it seems that you often can’t play a chord with the normal fingering position if the chord should hold for a bar? For instance the first D chord in Concerning Hobbits while moving to fifth fret. Any advice here? Or just practise and dexterity?

Almost six years ago I used to listen to this music while my son, a newborn then, slept in my arms. Now fate and circumstance have brought us a thousand kilometers apart and whenever I long for his company I listen to this music again and remember a time when happiness filled my heart. Although it can be a slow process, you can use software to enter sheet music and output TAB. It gets faster with practise and you start to learn notation without realising it. The software that I've personally used are: Guitar Pro, TablEdit and MuseScore. GP and TE have the advantage of being guitar specific whilst MS has the advantage of being free and open source.

Lotr has a special place in my heart, it’s the only movie or series that has ever made me cry, every time I start watching the fotr and we pan over on Frodo reading in a forest and this song starts playing I can’t help but close my eyes and just listen it’s so beautiful. Howard shore outdid himself with all of his music for lotr even if I just watched the movies five minutes ago if I’m watching that scene all I get are goosebumps and the purest form of nostalgia it’s incredible and I love it so much.

This song instills a sense of peace whenever you hear it. No matter what you are doing or how you are feeling, your emotions will calm and you will think to yourself "life isn't so bad after all." This is a long shot… my fiancé and I are getting married July 16, 2022. We are obsessed with this song and it has been my dream to walk down the aisle to this song. I am envisioning our bridal party walking down the aisle during the beginning of the song and then the 1:54 mark is when my dad would walk me down the aisle. I get goose bumps when I hear it.
