Do you know where the black diamond is to repair the gateway?

So far I have not found it. But in ep 3 we enter a new area with lots of gems. Maybe it drops there.

@gregorr1240 From the biome "Mines of Moria" onwards, every Orkish chest should have 2-3 Black diamond inside. (Destroy the banner > get Orkish key > unlock Orkish chest)
