I really think his The History Of Anakin Skywalker is his magnum opus, that one never fails to make me emotional. In this tho seeing Rings Of Power popping up all the time just took me out of it entirely, it feels like such a dispassionate and disrespectful project only made to get more money out of the franchise has no place in these videos filled with passion. They shat on the Silmarillion so hard

Great first Lord of the rings edit! Brilliant idea to use footage from the Tolkien film for the beginning and end. Makes it really stand out and unique. Also good on you for using rings of power footage. Show isn’t perfect and could be better but as a fan it’s still got some good stuff in there. Specifically the shots you used in this video are really great and you blended them perfectly with the movies. Another great video SWFT, you’re one of the best edit channels.

I agree, Rings of Power is visually beautiful and I don't personally mind some of the choices they made in adaptation. People forget Jackson's movies changed tons as well. In my mind the only issue with Rings of Power is that the writing is not always engaging.

Dearest SWFT I have no doubt that your fan edit, on top of being gorgeous, would be able to piece together important Middle-earth plot points too if you so chose. 🎉 It aches my heart as a Harry Potter fan to think that it is mostly impossible to do that for the Hp fandom with just the footage because of the honestly sh!te excuses for “adaptation” we got since the third movie. - Like, you would be able to make a short fan video that spans the whole 6 Middle-earth films about where the Ring went through from Gollum to Bilbo to Frodo&Sam, and how Bilbo sparing Gollum’s life led to Gollum taking the Ring down into the Fire… whereas you won’t be able to do “Plot summary” fan videos for even “stand alone” Hp movies starting from PoA 😂😢

First of all, Rings of Power isn't that bad. The second season was very enjoyable. Secondly, the video's narrative needed clips from the First Age and the Second Age, and those aren't depicted elsewhere.

@@SR-kh6yqto be fair, rings of power, as an adaptation, is unbelievably horrible. As was the Hobbit. In some cases, as was the lord of the rings. But in the end, the reason fans love the original trilogy and hate rings of power is because lord of the rings has many other very redeemable qualities. Rings of Power also is very dissimilar to the books, much more so than lord of the rings was. So it makes perfect sense why people dislike it so heavily. But it’s still fine to use footage from it. I don’t get the people hating on SWFT for simply using footage from RoP, as it’s the best quality footage of the 1st and 2nd ages we have
